I thought this was a good topic because of 3 of the most talked about athletes in the NFL over the past 3 months are again being discussed here.

1) Terrell Owens -
2) Corey Dillon -
3) Randy Moss-

My point? Just because a guy is loud, a showboat, and does not follow the so called rules does not mean that he cannot and will not be a very good addition to any team.

Don't be such a me poster Clif.

:D

I was actually thinking the same thing, Dillon made the Pats offense better all year, Owens made the Eagles better, so despite both teams being warned that ego players could destroy them, the reality is the egos fit because they knew the team wanted to win.

You can't compare Moss to TO and Dillon. While all three players are loud and have been labeled a "ME" player, it wouldn't be fair to TO and Dillon to be compared to Moss. No matter how loud or problematic things have been off the field for TO and Dillon, they have ALWAYS produced on the field. They have NEVER taken plays off, abandoned the team etc..

Good point, they get compared to Moss for some reason, I guess attitude but how they play on the field is all I generally judge players by and TO and Dillon play nothing like Moss.

Moss could rewrite every WR record there is if he had Jerry Rices dedication it wouldn't even be fair.

TO is an outstanding WR. He does everything, blocks, goes over the middle, runs decoy routes hard, wants to win.

Frankly, TO's persona makes far too many people place him in a box that he really doesn't fit in. He's a hard worker, and a tough player. The fact that he can be a showboat should NEVER make people forget the stellar talent that he is.

I admire TO for his game, and his game backs up his mouth and actions. I can't fault him for that.

I'm with D-Dogg. TO can talk all he wants, the dude backs it up week in and week out. Absolutely AWESOME player. He made some catches in the super bowl that were amazing. I just wish he was at 100%, you could tell he wasn't full speed.

The Eagles took the conservative route with TO's rehab. It was TO that was pushing extra hard trying to get on the field. He brought in his own people, and even bought another hyperbaric chamber. Dude flat out willed himself back onto field.

Peyton Manning is a me player even though he does not come across that way to the public.

I have not seen a quarterback compalian as much as he does when a receiver runs the wrong route, similar to Dan Marino. It is never Manning's fault, I have never seen him pat his chest when he has made a mistake. At least McNabb did that several times in the SuperBowl, he knows he is not perfect. Can't say the same about Peyton.
