over 44% of people voting on ESPN felt we got an A in the draft and most of the rest felt we got a B with around 34% not bad...

Also Branch was thought of the biggest Steal in the first two rounds...

I think it was a very extensive positive on our draft. John Clayton was asked what team (sic) did the best at followng their plan and filled the holes and he said it was the Cardinals. A lot of kudos on the Chicago sports shows this morning as well.

I think we need to give the FO some creds for an excellent effort.

How can one consider Brown a reach when he was projected by many to go in the top ten and perhaps only late as #8.

Also, why is there very little talk about Alan Branch when the Cardinals moved up in the the 2rd round to get him (giving up a 4th). IMO this was a Whiz draft all the way. So I believe Whiz had to give a lot of love for these selections especially Brown and Branch. I believe if you scoff at the Cardinals draft, one is scoffing at Whiz's ability to pick the right players. Since this his first draft with the Cardinals I am solidly behind him. He sounds like a man with a plan until proven otherwise.

Thanks to the Dolphins.:D

Tedd Ginn Jr. has to be the most surprising pick of the draft this year. I just about crapped my pants when they made that pick. I didn't feel so bad about the Levi Brown pick after that.

Screw the props from the media in April. It's okay, but I'd like props from the media in Janurary. Or, heck, even October for a change.

He's considered a reach because most pundits who rank ALL players had ranked him somewhere around the 13th best player overall. The fact that Arizona and Atlanta both needed a good left tackle and Joe Thomas was taken early, means he goes a little earlier than if all teams were taking the absolute best available player. And players who project as solid left tackle prospects are in great demand.

I know nothing about the guys in the lower draft slots after #3 so do not know what grade to give them. Why did we draft a WR? BPA?

Punt returner..because we suck at that. I think it's our worst pick though. I don't even think he's that great at that.. It would have been nice to find a project corner that was a good punt returner.. I'm still worried about our corner depth.

Looking at the entire picutre I think New England is lights out now that they have Moss. They had some good acquisitions before the draft and getting Moss. It will be very hard for them not to be in the Superbowl. They get an A++++ from me. I think Dallas was foolish to pass on Quinn. Romo remains a question in my mind. What about this 5'9" 234 lb LB we drafted? Is he any good? Sounds like Stump Mitchell playing LB? Is not 5'9" a big reach for a LB?

Brown is no reach. Most had him 8th and many had him there with Thomas. He may have been the Cards #1 all along.

Buster Davis is more like the late Sam Mills mold. I hope he can play like Mills did. What I have seen him play he will be. The Cardinals got a good linebacker in the draft.

No doubt John, but we have to learn to walk before we can run. A position in the playoffs would be heaven. Bad luck comes with sloppy play, poor execution, not being prepared etc etc. I truly believe those days are gone! The games we lose will not be because someone forgot to bring the ammo into the foxhole.

When I answer this question, please understand it's not an indictment abou the pick: It's simply an explanation.

The reason it can be considered a reach is because of the quality of football player the Cardinals passed on, namely Adrian Peterson and/or LaRon Landry.

This. Doesn't.Matter.

We're all long suffering Cardinals fans. We should know by now that just because the Cardinals covet a player doesn't mean they're the perfect pick.

The last 3-4 years we have gotten high marks on our drafts. They need to translate that to the field.

I literally laughed out loud at the Ginn pick.

I was really disappointed in the Levi pick at #5. Has Whiz come out and said that he tried to trade down for the pick? If so, that would make me feel much better.

I don't know what was so funny about the Ted Ginn pick. Numerous draft services/sites had him rated as a top 10 pick. I guess people are laughing because he only ran a 4.4 40 on an ankle that was about 75%. Those people may want to look and see what he did on the playing field. Just watch the first play of the Nat'l championship game and you'll see Reggie Nelson, of supposed 4.4-4.5 speed, get left behind like he was Maurice Clarett running aftre Ginn.
