Ladies and Gentlemen,
Many of you are like me. Long time Cardinals fans. We have seen some things. This weekend, for me at least, was one of the worse. May be worse than the 41-6 Browns game....it may.
Look, it is not so much the game. It is more the actions of said coach.
So, you bench, and mix up the lineup after the bye. You justify it by saying players need to be accountable.
You bench John Skelton, for good reason. And give specific reasons for it.
You cannot then go out against the Jets and do what he did. Then you can't pile a bunch of bullcrap on top, and hope the Bidwill's amazing experience on making horrific things disappear are going to make it go away.
1. The system.
He says the system works. It doesn't. It never have. Without Kurt Warner, or a great defense like in Pittsburgh, or a great DC like Horton Whiz wouldn't even be a coach in the league. Show me what the man can claim as his own accomplishment ?
Taking Denny Green's roster to the Superbowl ? Winning the Superbowl behind a great defense ?
Not buying it.
2. The Wide Receivers.
Really ? ........................... Really ?
If the system works so well, the how can WR's that have 3, 4, 7 years in the league not be able to run the right routes ? HOW ?
These are professional athletes, and football is just not THAT hard. All this "look and see", "read on the fly" bullcrap doesn't work. Never has.
The QB has no idea where the ball should go, the WR's have no idea where to run the route. It is a mess, and it shows up on the field.
To call out your receivers is so pathetically bad, I HOPE it was for the sake of protecting another one of the failed QB's to cycle through ....."the system"
Sorry. Not buying it.
3. Ryan Lindley gives you the best chance to win.
Ugh, this board. Don't know what some of you have against John Skelton. He is not the answer that is 100% sure. But, he won games for this organization. Thank goodness for Whiz's neck this wasn't Kevin Kolb. My goodness the defense for him would have shook mountains.
Unfortunately, Skelton is not the popular guy so for some reason he deserves no defense ?
Where are all the "stats guys". Why don't we pull some of Lindley's stats, and see how they stack up to John Skelton ?
Career:
50 for 103 448 yds ZERO TD passes, and 5 INT's ...... in three games.
That is 48% completion percentage, and 4.3 yards a pass. 4.3 !!!!!!!
4.3, you just run the ball at that point.
But, stats ? They don't mean nothing. Wins do. But, Lindley is 0-3.
OK, what about our favorite, "Moxie" - I saw a immature QB that completely ----- the bed by the second quarter. He had no idea what was going on, where to throw the ball, how to throw the ball, what to do. Just embarrassing for him too tell you the truth.
BUT - That supposedly was better then sending Skelton out there ? Really ?
Sorry, not buying it.
4. Russ Grimm.
He sucks.
5. Mike Miller
Looks like if Bunsen and Beaker had a baby and then pooped on it. Is this guy for real. The best thing about Mike Miller, is that he will never have a job again. Anywhere.
Would you dare hire him ?
That's it. That is all I got.
Just saying that not only was the game bad, but the handling of the situation after was transparent, unprofessional, and a steaming pile from the owner down to the coach.
You try and find the interview online or anywhere from this afternoon, the FULL one.
ALL of a sudden those podcasts are up on the site where they are supposed to be.
Again. You don't want to feel the wrath of angry then do your job better.
This wadding up in a ball and playing games to try and "lesson the blow" is insulting.
We are all not that stupid (lol, even though I am making a good case for it this week.) Its transparent and making things worse.
OK. Done.
I am off the soap box.
The season is in the tank. The players are turning on each other. The locker will be fracturing, and there is going to be some uninspired football for the next 4 weeks as coaches, and players get ready for an offseason where this things SHOULD be blown up.
Yet, this is the Cardinals and this organization is so clueless at time they just might "blame injuries" and try to march this steaming pile on the field for another historically bad season.
