Barnes with the shoulder check on Alston resulting in what could only be described as a pushing match with Nash in the middle and Shaq pushing the entire bunch with one try...

Finally, I like what I see. Sure they are sucking tonight, but I love the intensity. I am all for hard fought basketball and I believe Barnes did a good thing, should have done it on McGrady and his bad shoulder, but interesting to say the least...

Let's see if this fires up our team...

My fav part was when Shaq tossed everyone outta the way, then proceeded to acting like a mediator.

so barnes instigates an incident, and you wanted him to have intentionally tried to reinjure the best player on the rockets when this player only defended his team mate? boy, that sure is mature.

That was the most pointless fight ever. If only we won today. I hate losing. I guess we can go back to the East and win a few games to make up for this.

Suspensions will be forthcoming. Fighting in the NBA is stupid and pointless.

Actually the fight we started just made us look even more pathetic.

I agree, however putting a flagrantly hard shoulder into the opponents chest is not pointless. These type's of physical messages sent during the regular season when disqualifications and 1 game suspensions are less meaningful can set the tone later on when every possession(and mental edge) counts in the post-season.

What?

This isn't High School basketball, or some pickup game on a court. These guys are pros and shouldn't need a damn thing to get "fired up". They should get "fired up" knowing that they have millions of dollars. They get PAID to be fired up.

Last night was absolute garbage. We look old, desperate, and like a team with nothing to lose because we can't win. On top of all that we embarass ourselves. What Barnes did was an absolute embarassment.

Maybe you missed it but while Barnes was busy with that shoulder check, McGrady was popping a 3.

0 fast break points.
It's been 2 games since Grant Hill scored a point.
14 turnovers

Really? That's not the problem. The problem is that we have a team coached to a half court, grind it out, tough defense sort of way; but it's not built that way. This is like taking a Ferarri down a dirt road and wondering why it doesn't perform as well as a Jeep.

Thats crap I was at the game and the refs made crap calls all night long and did once again in this case. McGrady should have been ejected he simply goes after Nash with a ref in his face. We got the shaft all night long think thats why Porter said screw it and put in the bench for the last 6 minutes or so. We played like crap but the zebras didn't do us any favors we could get fouled unless someone damn near took our head off and McBaby could jump sideways into barnes and get the call it was a complete joke not sure if you could here the crowd booing them all night on TV.

Oh the refs were making bad calls? Damn, wish someone would have posted that sooner. That makes all the difference

We can't blame this loss on the zebras, but we can blame the pushing match on them. We lost because we couldn't hit wide open shots and finish layups. That built up a lot of frustration for both the players and the fans, add a couple of ridiculous calls (or no calls) by the refs and it wasn't surprising that something had to give. If anyone should be fined/suspended it should be the refs for adding fuel to the fire instead of controlling the game and getting a handle on the situation.

No kidding, the first good defensive team with afull complement and the suns cant score. The spacing sucks in the halfcourt, amare has no room to operate and turns the ball over 5 times. Now its amare and others turning it over, not nash. ik suppose they are all "getting old" and cant do it anymore. And its the same reason for the TO's, poor spacing, small passing lanes, then the turnovers are a natural result when you force the ball in there. The turnovers are also due to guys playing out of character. Adding a defensive minded coach(suns) is not as effective as having defensive minded players(Houston). Clearly the suns offense was better against the rockers last year. Hopefully they can get used to the half court sets or run more in the future.

PS: Steve nash, a career 50% shooter, one of the best shooting guards in the NBA every year, is shooting 45% in this offense, kind of a big dropoff.

Who blamed the loss on the zebras? I said we played like crap and we did we lost the game. All I said was we got screwed by the zebras meaning we didn't get a lot of calls where there was alot of contact and they could simply get brushed and a whistle blows. We played very bad but we didn't get any calls last night we might as well play all the games on the road because we rarely get any home court calls.

Lopez blocks a layup, refs give two points to rockets. Bad call.

Mcgrady gets the call and shoots free throws when Barnes avoided him on the fake.(made one of two or two of three)

Bell out by the three point line, does the same fake and Mcgrady fouls him with no call, so no free throws for Suns.

Artest 3 at the half was close but I think it was still touching his finger when the light came on. E.J. also thought so. Refs give 3 points to Rockets.

Add it up and the Suns would have still lost but it could have been an 8 to 11 point swing if Bell was shooting a three and made his free throws.

Refs bad calls do influence the game.

Is this a joke?

You seriously don't think I couldn't post up just as many missed calls in favor of the Suns had I half the mind to give a care about such nonsense?

Here's one you should remember. Barne's forearm check into a defender (no call) McGrady makes a 3. That should have been a flagrent. Giving them 2 free throws and the ball out.

Refs bad calls influence the game both ways. This is a tired old discussion. Refs will miss calls. If the refs made all the calls, people like you would complain that the refs are slowing down the game.

Whining about the refs is a pathetic activity that all fans should avoid. Refs will always, always, always.

ALWAYS

make bad calls...

deal.

the refs didnt shoot 37% Fg's, gotta give the rockets credit for shutting the suns offense down. Amare was rendered ineffective, 5-13, 5 TO's. The funny thing is that the rockets best defender(Battier) was in street clothes. It probably would have been really ugly if Battier was in there. Its gonna get really ugly when the lakers come to town, that should sober up a buch of delusional fans. On the bright side the pistons will come calling without billups or Dice, a seriously weakened team.

So the Suns have turned into a team with a horrible offense that plays dirty??

Sounds like a defensive-minded team to me.

Do you disagree with this?

My point was that the Refs made bad calls, here are some that went against the Suns and cost us points.

Some games are officiated well and some aren't. This one wasn't.
BTW
Suns didn't play or shoot well either. duh
