I may be contradicting my point on another thread, but I think the Suns had a real chance this year. The Mavs and Heat were ideal matchups for the Suns.

The Suns are generally the most vulnerable against teams that are athletic, with a good low post game, good shooters, with strong ball movement.

The Mavs don't have exceptional guard play, tend to go one on one, and lack a serious low post threat. The Heat is a very slow team without exceptional outside shooting. With just a healthy Bell, the Suns would have had a chance.

Still, it is hard to imagine the Suns in the future getting by four tough opponents with no low post defense and no low post offense. It's not impossible, but it is very hard.

Oh, THOSE world Championships.

With everyone healthy, I'd give the Suns a good chance. The Suns are better outside shooters than team USA and get better ball movement. I'm not sure the Suns defense is adequate, but their half court defense couldn't be much worse.

In any case, a healthy Amare would present problems for any opponent.

any well coached and well-established teams, with proper role players, system, leading players... will beat any of the other world teams.

The Suns have shooters, athletes... and Nash, which would be a huge impact player in this type of competitions. They'll just run the other team out... but most NBA teams would do the same... the key word there is "team".... proper system, player roles... etc.

Its not that easy though. After all, on the Suns we have Amare, Raja, and Shawn. Then you add to that:

France's best player
Brazil's best player
