There will be a flurry of underclassmen coming out news which means a flurry of threads popping up, and that is cool for talking about specific players and all, but I thought I would just make one thread with an updated list of players that have come out to lower the confusion level.

Adam "Pac Man" Jones is coing out. CB from WVU 5'11 190. Excellent speed and a good cover corner. Does gamble a bit but is a playmaker and comes up with timely interceptions.

Avergaed 15yards a punt return this year. Could last to the early 2nd round. Would love to have him at that spot.

Oregon State sophomore CB Brandon Browner has reportedly opted to leave school with two years of eligibility remaining and enter the 2005 draft. With speed and agility, the 6-4, 202-pound Browner, is an outstanding physical prospect, who had a terrific freshman season in 2003 when he intercepted 6 passes, although his numbers were off somewhat this year.

With Juniors like Pac Man, Browner, Washington, Miller already coming out not to mention a few others who may come out, Kimmy Williams, Will Blackmon, this CB class is starting to look like a really good and deep one.

Updating some earlier information, the deadline for underclassmen to apply to the NFL for early entry to the 2005 draft is Jaunary 15th. Players who do fill out the paperwork then have until the 19th to rescind their applications as long as they have not signed with an agent.

.

interesting, Brandon is the son of Keith Browner, ex USC player who is of course part of the famed Browner family featuring Ross, and Joey Browner.

Ross Browner's son is Max Starks, a 3rd round pick of the Steelers this year.

Brandon Browner was a 2 way star in HS but never played WR in college, he actually committed to USC originally but changed his mind.

Talented kid.

Has Ngata declared yet?

Speaking of sons of former NFL players any word on Gerald Riggs Jr. coming out early?

He already has his masters degree...!!! Got his Bach degree in two years and his masters in one year. Now this kid would be a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals. A QB who is smart and can play football. Now that would be a real change of pace, now wouldn't that.

UM's Gore leaving early for NFL

UM tailback Frank Gore said Friday afternoon that he will be foregoing his senior season to enter the NFL draft.

"I had a rough, rough college career and I feel like it's time to move on," said Gore, who made the decision after consulting with his mother Liz. "It's time for me to help my mom out. She's had a rough life, as I have. I want to show people that I'm going to be one of the best backs in the draft."

2 knee surgeries and a mother on Kidney Dialysis. He could easily be the next Willis McGahee.

So did Craig Krenzel and he sucks. IMO he is a product of the system.

I wouldn't even look at this kid until the sixth round. He had nothing to lose in staying another year in school. Bad decision.

He had nothing to gain either. The fact is if he comes back, played a full season, had a great year, on draft day teams would still be saying he's had 2 major knee surgeries.

I actually think before he got hurt he was better than any RB in this draft, including DeAngelo Williams, but obviously with all the injuries he's not going to go very high. 4th round at the earliest I would suspect.

He still averaged 5 YPC this year after all his injuries.

I fear gore will be the Randy Livingston of football, one of the great promising PG's I've seen in ages who had so many knee injuries he barely got a cup of coffee in the NFL. But Gore could be the next Terry allen too, he played several years after having his 2nd ACl surgery.

I'm pulling for him, he was such an exciting player before he got hurt.

...except for maybe his mother. I think it's a tough decison, but in his case, I'd probably do the same.

$400 K contract could help her out more than a lunch ticket at the UM chow line

Oh really...??? His high school RB was Reggie Bush of USC. Both of them this year were both Hiesman nommenies. So I guess Reggie Bush must also be a product of the system also. GET REAL MAN...!!!

Didn't Krenzel win at least one games for Chicago, so I now guess he has to be as bad as Elie Manning was for the Giants...???

Maybe, but if he shows that he can play a full season, and that he's fully rehabilitated from the knee, it would probably make the difference between rounds five (where I expect he'll go) and three (where he might go if healthy for another year).

As a fifth-round pick, he'll get something around $25K as a signing bonus, and MAYBE a $150K salary should he make a team. As a thrid rounder, he would probably be able to increase his SB by an order of magnitude, as assure his salary.

And if he goes undrafted, there'll really be trouble. Don't you think that his mom could have stood to work another year with those possibilities? If he gets injured again, then I don't know if the downside is that much different.

It is if he gets injured again in college before getting a signing bonus.

I'm going to hype Bo Scaife TE Texas. Finally over his knee problems and one bad boy. Big, can catch and block AND knows how to get open when the money is on the line.

He will be a great pickup late Sunday.

400k may be pay cut for Gore :D .I also read where he wasn't going to announce unless the NFL told him he was a possible 1st round but also a sure 2nd round type selection.

Frank Gore has his degree. Not bad for a guy who came into school with major laerning disabilities. He grew up in a 1 bedroom apartment with seven family members. His mother is bedridden and on dialysis awaiting kidney transplants. Drew Rosenhaus is his agent. The same Drew Rosenhaus who is Willis McGahee's agent. He got Willis one helluva deal and a 1st round draft slot. Frank Gore got advice from the NFL consultants. He can't buy career injury insurance. He has had two major knee reconstructs and came back this year and played as the #1 back and got damn near 1000 yards and essentially was U of M's best offensive player. Frank Gore is the most appreciated player in Miami football ever. What would he do next year at Miami. Even though he received his undergraduate degree, he is not going to do graduate work. He will be better and faster next year. He will go to the combine workouts and that is all the scouts are looking for. Frank played at 75 % this year. He will have his speed back next year. He has nothing to gain by coming back to Miami. Best of luck Frank.

P.S. If he signs an incentive laden contract he will be well off financially. DRew will take care of him.
