The term is Valley of the Sun so adding Suns would have been wierd in my opinion.

I like the jerseys but I love the court. Both significant changes and this team is also significantly different from years past. This Suns team doesn't look like any we've seen before with its defensive focus and the design doesn't look like any we've seen before.

the Jerseys have actually grown on me. AmaZing what a little winning in them does as far as brain conditioning that they’re good.

court... meh.

I'm not a fan of the black key.

I don’t mind the black key but the yellow trim really bugs me. I realize that they are trying to tie it in to the yellow on the uniform but it still bugs me that a fairly predominant color on the floor is not a “Suns” color.

Orange would have been better. I don't mind the yellow though, it matches the jerseys they wear when that court is used.

I always thought they should use a darker purple and then they wouldn't need a black alternate jersey. I'm not sure how some would like it but I know that's a change I always made in 2k and other video games.

Ask anyone west of the Mississippi where The Valley is and they'll say the
San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles -- home of the Valley Girls.

We in the Valley of the Sun, of course, take it to mean the Phoenix metro
area, The Salt River Valley.

Having the word Valley on the uniforms reminds me of how they referred to
us when I moved here 42 years ago -- a "suburb" of L.A. (an L.A. wanna-be).

With no Championships, and the Lakers with many, we are an L.A. wanna-be!
But we don't have to advertise it to the world.

would indeed give us our own identity. Even if it is only on our
new home dark uniforms (because we are seen on TV in other
teams' markets when they visit us). We've been wearing our
old home whites (without the VALLEY logo) on the road.

It wasn’t until I saw them on TV playing on the new court design that I was really blown away by them. Now I think they’re fantastic and just something unique and fresh for a team that feels unique and fresh early on.

The yellow trim is a problem too but when I first saw them play on the court the black key gave me sort of a depth perception issue.

My adult daughter, who does not care about pro sports at all saw them when I was watching and without prompting said

“Those are really great uniforms”

she is 24 and is a “style” person.

No one I know thinks like you describe. You worry about perceived perception way too much.

The NBA hasn't used "home white" uniforms in more than a decade. Jerseys are all about merchandising now.

The paint/key area needs a new color. I’m not liking the solid black.

I would like to see it fade from yellow to purple

Im potentially more happy the ‘PHX’ Suns logo with the firebird seems to be gone...that logo was so bad.

as much as i like the new unis ive generally always thought that unis and logos should never change. Those are the two things that tie a franchise to its past, identity, and roots
