This is on my list as I'm a big Phillipe Petite fan. I remember when he did this and it was an incredible feat.

The documentary on his walk "Man on Wire" is very, very good.

I'm a big Zemeckis fan. Want to see this and I'm expecting him to do some boundary pushing stuff with the IMAX/3D. Dude is great combining state of the art FX while telling solid, often time, simple stories to go with them.

Audience left feeling ‘physically sick’ after watching The Walk as 3D effects of stuntman walking across skyscrapers trigger vertigo

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ntman-walking-skyscrapers-induce-vertigo.html

Audiences who have watched the first screenings of a biopic of a stunt man who walked a tight rope between New York's Twin Towers have complained some the movie's 3D effects left them feeling sick.

The Walk by producer Robert Zemeckis tells the story of French daredevil Philippe Petit, who walked between the two skyscrapers in Manhattan 1,300 feet above the ground in 1974 without a safety net.

Mr Zemeckis has previously said that he hoped the 3D effects used in the film would give cinema-goers a sense of vertigo, while watching the movie.

But at the first screening of the film, which took place at New York Film Festival last night, it was reported that some of the audience were physically sick after watching the biopic.

Journalist Mark Harris, who was at the screening tweeted: 'Reports of guys vomiting in the Alice Tully men's rm post-The Walk: True. Witnessed it/came close. Bad visual trigger for vertigo sufferers.'

This looks pretty good, but I am terrified of heights. Not sure if I would be able to make it through the entire movie

I saw this last night at the IMAX at Arizona Mills.

I'm not sure that I would go as far to say it "Renewed my faith in the magic of motion pictures!" lol The hyperbole in the trailers for this one is cracking me up.

But it was really good. I thought JGL was awesome, it took me a few minutes to buy his french accent but once I got used to it I didn't even think about it anymore.

The effects were truly spectacular. I would encourage anyone to go see this in the IMAX.

I am terrible with heights, I really dont like them. I never felt sick or anywhere close to it, but I definitely laughed out loud a few times when I found myself gripping the armrests, lol. I basically white knuckled the entire second half of the movie.

One surprise was that the movie is pretty light and funny, the previews are determined to make it look super intense with high drama, and there was at times, but for the most part this movie is pretty light, and I thought the ending was very beautiful and touching (almost reverent) and not the least bit heavy handed which is rare these days.

I definitely 100% recommend seeing this at an IMAX screen.
