I'd like to know why they're not all walking around with a bow or crossbow. Silent, allows you to kill at a distance and you can retrieve your ammo.

A bit unwieldy up close though. You might be able to retrieve the arrow in certain situations but there's a lot of occasions when I'd imagine it would be the last thing you'd do. Also, you can carry a lot of firepower for the same space and effort that it takes to pack a bow and arrows.

If you're really planning on surviving the upcoming zombie apocalypse I suggest you think your way through this.

I'm pretty sure there's a Dick's Sporting Goods store near just about everybody. That would be my first stop right after I picked up my tank.

Steve

Yeah I can just see it.

Steve: Where the heck is everybody?

Steve's conscience: Zombie apocalypse.

Steve: Better get to a Dick's pronto!

Yup, I rushed to Dick's twice last week - false alarm both times.

I'm not hung up on this, but I'll keep it going anyways.

They sent that Asian kid into the city for supplies more than once. Why not tell him to find a sporting goods store and stock up?

Best episode yet. It sucks that is it is only 6 episodes for this run.

This episode and the pilot are my two favorite episodes so far this season. This should come as no surprise since this episode was written by Robert Kirkman who created the Walking Dead comic book. I really does suck this season is only 6 episodes though when they renewed it they said they were getting a 13 episode order so there is that to look forward to.

I am not sure if they addressed this yet or not, but how long does it take after the person dies for them to come back as a zombie?

Not sure. They mentioned a high fever and then death. Shortly after they walk again...

Those that bleed out I don't think turn into walking dead.

I think if you're infected it doesn't matter how you died. Remember the woman with no legs that the sheriff tracked down and mercy killed? I think the implication is she died from those wounds, and then became a walker.

Hopefully they will explain the process. In the first episode Rick walked over many dead bodies that could have become walkers I would think...

Yeah, who knows. I'm not going to over-think it though. Hell, it's a zombie show, fer chrissakes! :)

Where was that implied? Couldn't she have basically turned and lost the legs AFTER she turned? Not saying you're wrong, just curious why/how you assumed her legs being cut off happened before turning.

I got it.... Feeling sick, bicycle girl rides her bike to the hospital on the way there her fever becomes to much and she passes out. Several of the first walkers see her not quite dead and have a smorgasbord of white meat. She dies but the virus as already altered her prior self and takes over....

Yeah, that's it!!!

And you didn't answer the question either.

The show is good, but not great--the writing leaves a lot to be desired and you can see a definite difference in the directing from the pilot (Darabont's episode) and the other 3.

If you can tell the difference between a movie and television, then you can see the difference. It's subtle--but a lot of it has to do with the way the actors are directed and the way the script jumps locations a lot. That's definitely a television thing. The pilot was generally only with Rick the entire time (with an out-of-place short scene of his wife and Shane).

Still a good show, though.
