watched it this weekend - really enjoyed the movie and it dealt with a lot of good stuff

enjoyed how they would contrast "the ram" from "Robin (call me randy)"

also liked the parallel that was draw between wrestling and striping and how neither is exactly a good game for those who get up in age

great scene to me was when he was playing nintendo with the kid, playing his character on an old system while the kid was talking about all the new games and technology out there .... showed not only time once again passing him by, but also how he didn't have really anything in his life aside from a stripper and some neighborhood kids

i also enjoyed the ending and so did my wife as she didn't want to watch him die in the ring

Sounds interesting. Maybe they got their idea from "Beyond The Mat". A great documentary that I recommend highly.

Basically, yes. From the rise to stardom to the fall from grace. From large arenas working for a major company to working indy shows and autograph signings just to make a living. To the estrangement from his daughter, this movie pretty much parallels Roberts' life and career.

On a related note, Dallas Page is trying to help both Roberts and Scott Hall get back on their feet.

this shows that's it's hard to be a wrestler

It also shows what happens when you fail to plan for when the crowd stops cheering. This is a commentary on all professional athletes. Few have someone to guide them and to help prepare for the future. Wrestlers for the most part believe they can be on top forever. For some, it's true but that's only for the true mega stars like Flair, Hogan, Austin, The Rock, to name a few.
