Darnold is gone no later than #6, and probably in top 3.

I think Allen and Rosen are probably the top quarterbacks on most teams boards.

If you think Darnold is going to drop to 15, I think it’s you who needs to puff, puff, pass. Lol
I'm speaking strictly to how this mock is going. You get to 8:

8) Chicago-doesn't need a QB
9) SF-Doesn't need a QB
10) Oakland-Doesn't need a QB but if they trade with Buffalo, if Buffalo takes Darnold at #9, that leaves Mayfield and Jackson available.
11) Miami-Doesn't need a QB
12) Cincy-Doesn't need a QB
13) Washington-No immediate need a QB but could need a QBOTF
14) GB-Doesn't need a QB

So, why the need to trade up 7 spots when there's no need to. SOMEONE is going to be there at 15 and TBH, you can have Darnold. When you can count on 1 hand how many viable QB's have ever come out of USC, no thanks. The only way you consider moving up is if someone behind you who needs a QB like maybe the Chargers(Rivers isn't getting any younger) but as it stands right now someone is going to be there at 15 so no need to mortgage the future to move up.

And yet some mocks have Allen falling to 15. The point of this thread is that these mocks are literally darts on a map, nothing more.

Apparently you forgot about the draft that happened way back in 2017 where 2 teams came out of nowhere and drafted QBs 1 and 3 picks ahead of us. We will need to trade up if we want one of the Top 4 QBs because everybody knows that’s where they have to get. Not saying we should, just that none of the 4 are falling in our laps.

There were 3 viable QB's last year. This year there are 5, maybe 6. (Mayfield, Allen, Jackson, Darnold, Rosen and maybe even Rudolph). There aren't 6 teams in this draft who are QB hungry let alone in the first round. You can't look at another season and apply it to the next. Last year we were stupid not to trade up 1 freaking spot but this year we will be even stupider to trade up 7 spots unless they're being picked off in the first 6 or 7 picks, which isn't going to happen. Truth is SOMEONE will be there at 15 and that someone will end up a great pro(or bust, we simply don't know). No need to mortgage the future because it's a sell high/buy low QB draft year.

Mocks are meaningless. They are just something that football fans and writers do to pass the time this time of year. This year seems like mocks are even more meaningless considering there's nowhere near a consensus number 1.

CBS has been a joke all year. It’s like evey day one guy has shown up in the top ten at some point. I throw them out. Better to follow the ESPN guys, Mayock on NFL.com or Tony Pauline. Sometimes Ourlads does a decent job. This just gives you some idea who may last until your team’s pick. Of course trades screw up everything. That’s why some gurus just rank players, like Rob Rang.

has Mason Rudolph as their top QB.Then Jackson,Rosen,Darnold.RD2 QBS Mayfield, allen. That`s crazy
.I am big Jackson fan but RIGHT NOW Darnold and Rosen are more PRO-READY guys.
Jackson has a super high ceiling but the California guys are a bit more ready RIGHTNOW.

NFL>COM
Darnold 7.10
Rosen 6.19
Mayfield 6.09
Jackson 6.06
Allen 5.95
Rudolph 5.60

This sure is a fun draft to follow. I can't remember such a diverse group of top-tier QB's. Any one of 5 or 6 could end up being a Franchise QB. Crazy year to also have Cousins, Keenum, Bridgewater, and possibly Foles available. Probably more QB options this year then the last 2-3 years combined.

If Keim is sold on Darnold/Rosen/Allen, I think he has to move up to grab one of them. If okay with 1 of Mayfield/Jackson, I think we stay at 15 and take one of them.

I really enjoy the debate about the quarterbacks. I would be happy with any of the above 5, but prefer: 1a. Jackson, 1b. Mayfield, 3. Darnold. If all three are gone, there is probably some high-rated talent that drops to us -- and I go in that direction.

So what.Doesn`t what happened on the field count for more than looking good in shorts throwing to uncovered WRS?
if it was that easy everyone would have a great combine showing. there were several of the top QBs who didn't do well.

So i say again.....are people that dumb to be swayed because somebody looks good throwing to uncovered WRs without pads or a defense?

It says its to foolish read too much into throwing at the combine instead of how the QB did in real games.I know that Jackson`s accuracy increased EVERY SEASON and his WRs dropped a incredible 12% of his passes. As for Baker Mayfield i don`t buy the hype.I think his average arm will not work in the NFL and he won`t be throwing against BIG 12 defenses (a league where defense sucked).I think Mayfield flames out and i think Jackson might take a year of coaching but i think Jackson`s ceiling is way higher than the others.
I do think the California guys are closest to NFL Ready.Josh Allen accuracy has to improve also.
