I would sure like to know how the Cards intend on filling the WR and DL spot????

Given, there are a number of good WR in the draft even at the 2nd and third rounds. Coach Mac, do not take a look at Justin Gage out of Missouri. Big WR with great speed(ran a 4.43 at his workout) and broke all of Mizzous WR records. He can probably be had in the 3rd round.

ON DL?????? I guess we will find out about Dennis Johnson. I guess we will play the waiting game and see if Suggs falls to us...alot of ifs.

WR- forget about the FA market-sure hope McCaddley is no fluke.

I noticed that someone posted that the Cards are working on extending LJ Shelton's contract. Great move---glad I thought of it.
If that happens then the Cards will not be held hostage next season.

I know many of you think that Thomas Jones has no trade value and if this holds out to be true then I would make him show up at camp and work his hind in off and then cut him right before the season starts so that no one will get him worked into their offense before the season starts. He deserves it!!

What's happening with this Holiday deal?? Is this guy worth what we are offering??? Many of you say no- I tend to agree. I would not let this guy play us and I would pull the offer off of the table. Did Okeofor ever sign with anyone????

I noticed that the Texans are still looking for a RB and an Offensive lineman-could be trading partners on draft day... so could New Orleans and the Jets.

DL is the easy one to fill, This years draft is extremely deep in DL. You take Suggs/Kennedy/Robertson/Newman, and if it's Newman the draft is deep enough to still get a quality DL with your second pick.

WR is trickier, any WR you take isnt going to be a #1 this year no matter what. Only thing you can really do is wait until the June 1st cuts and grab a vet, and hope the reason the Cards are sitting tight at WR is because Sullivan is in love with McCaddley, Gilmore, & Kasper.

TJ does have trade value, but think he'll have to be used in a package deal, as opposed to straight up with someone. Maybe to move up in the second or third round to grab a player we like(maybe with the Texans could see a deal going with them to swap 2nd or 3rds for TJ)

Holliday if he keeps waiting til after the draft is stupider then dirt. Cus alot of teams will fill the DE need in the draft (us and seattle) and create less of a market for himself then there is now. He needs to quit trying to push up his value that last $200K and sign the damn deal. My hope as I stated before is he is stupid and does wait until after the draft and then ends up signing with us for only $2 mil a year instead of the current $4 mil. *GRIN*

OKefor has not signed with anyone yet.

Nice overall post Jason!

The reason Okeafor hasent signed is because the Cardinals and other teams have found a back ailment. I honestly dont believe he has even been given an offer because of it???

Thanks for the info Jason - what I meant to say was that I think that coach Mac and the Cards need to take a hard look at Justin Gage. He would be a great pick in the 3rd round.
