1-Joe Thomas,OT-i'm starting to worry TB may grab him but, i in the end, i think they go with Gaines Adams.
2-Charles Johnson,DE-he slides into round 2 because he lacks ideal size for DE at 6'2.But he's a very good prospect and would be a great choice in round 2
3-Daymeion Hughes,CB-he ran a slower than ideal 40 and that's the only reason he's still on the board in round 3. At the Senior Bowl he got very good reports on closing speed.Plus, he's shown to be a playmaker at the college level.
4-Buster Davis,OLB-I can't really find why he's dropping but he is. I would prefer Rufus Alexander here but he'll most likely be gone.Davis is a stout tackler and has 4.64 speed at 245 lbs. but is only 5'9.
5-Scott Chandler,TE-I'm hoping he's still around at this pick. He's got ideal size at 6'7 270 and speed 4.78. Iowa usually produces pretty good blocking TE's as well.
7-John Beck,QB- I assume the Cards will have to take a QB to groom for the backup role next year and Beck is a good prospect for that role. But there's a chance he may gone by round 7. Having a 6th this year would be an ideal spot to grab him.

The Valley so low.
I like parets of this, but Hughes is too slow--why not take Alexander at 3? Or, my preference, Mike Otto OT at 3? I think we have to resolve to make OL a strength of this team--all the more if we're going to try to run a lot.

For a fifth pick, I suggest choosing a KN--a designated Kidnapper, who will take all available Bidwill, Graves, and Pendergast out to the back 40 and hold them for, oh, maybe 2 years....

A 5'9" OLB and you can't figure why he is "dropping!

i know they were MLB's but Mike Singletary and Sam Mills are about 5'9. Ideally you want a taller guy but Davis makes alot of plays. Also, i think Timmons came in at barely over 6'0. Of course, Davis' program height is 5'9 which may mean he's actually 5'7  .
