I got home today and checked my mail box. Much to my excitement I found a key in there to open one of the bigger boxes. However when I opened the bigger box it was empty.

I think someone stole my season tickets!

 :bang: :hammer:

I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Right now I just want to beat on someone... F'n post office! I was able to open other boxes without the key and see other packages. This can't be happening!

:hammer:

Was the box still sealed, yet empty? Or had someone opened it? If it was sealed, maybe they just forgot to pack the tix in there!

I think he is saying that the sealed box wasn't even in the big mail box.

No box at all. The large mail box had nothing in it when I opened it up. There had to be something in there or they wouldn't have left a key. This was the only thing I was expecting from the USPS.

It's quite depressing. I was so looking forward to getting these. Now I have to go through the fun process of trying to get new ones.

The a-hole that stole them will probably sell them to some poor schmuck who will try to use them on gameday, only to find out that they have been deactivated.

Logically (???!!!) the Cardinal ticket office will (a) have a record of your payment and (b) know which seats you reserved.

It stands to reason that - after verifying that "you are you" and that you, in fact, bought the tickets, they should be able to issue you appropriately-marked "replacement" tickets and kick the ass of the wrongful ticket holders when they show up to sit in your seats.

I still don't have mine yet. I moved the middle of June and changed my address on my account. When I talked to the ticket office yesterday, he said they sent the tickets out to be printed the first week in June and sent the addresses on record at that time, so that probably means they shipped it to my old address. Now we have to wait to see it they come back and I'll have to make arrangements to pick them up. Otherwise they will have to cancel the tickets and send me new ones. I only hope we can accomplish all this before the first game.

So I went back out to the mail box this morning to leave a note for the woman who does the mail.

I look at the 4 large boxes where they put bigger postage. Two of them had the keys in them and were open (one of them being the one that I found empty). Another one had popped open and had someone elses package in it(Yeah this things are really secure). The fourth one looked like it was still locked.

So just for the hell of it I try and see if I can open it and it appears to be locked. I take a random key and stick it in the lock to have something to pull on. Much to my surprise it pops rigth open with no effort. There is the package addressed to me. It's my Season Tickets!

I swear I have the worst mailwoman ever. We are constantly getting other peoples mail. She never fully secures the large boxes. I think she could care less about her job. It's a shame that she doesn't take her job seriously.

The good news is that I got my tickets and no longer want to kill someone!

This happened to us last year as D-Dogg moved. Tickets are not forwarded via a mailbox forward, so we never got our real tickets. The ticket office sent left our preseason tickets at will call for the preseason games and sent us replacements (albeit, crappy Ticketmaster ones) prior to Week 1.

Good luck.

For each ticketed seat, you get the 20% discount card and a ticket for some kind of 'collectible' that you turn in at the game or the box office I think.

Maybe the USPS just forgot to deliver them. Wait until tomorrow, it might show up. They make mistakes sometimes.

What else did you get with your tickets..any goodies..or collectables???

A leather/nylon business folder with an 8 1/2 X 11 pad with space for cards/pens/etc. It's black and brown with stichting on the front (like a football). It has the stadium design on the front (small on the bottom right hand corner) and it says Cardinals Stadium, inaugural season, 2006.
