Some are young assistants which would make great coordinators and probably where they belong on the next step up, but because we might not have hire them as a head coach, they will take the job as a coordinator with a team like Seattle for the job they are meant to progress to and succeed but we cannot get them in their rightful ladder of experience because we inquired for a head coach. It would be great to have Flores as our DC and DeFilippo as the OC... and you can then give the token head coaching job to Mr. Jones or Smith

some of those guys may well consider an offer as coordinator... in the case of flores or defillipo it is still a promotion, more money, more responsibility, and progress in their careers.

if one really blows your socks off as a coordinator it aint so hard to move them up once they are in house.
hell, there is precedent for the title offensive coordinator/assistant head coach...as well as the defensive equivalent.

Why would Flores leave NE when he will undoubtedly be offered that same position?

DeFilippo is tantalizing, because of the Cardinals' real need to develop a young gun. But he really should become an OC first. But if he really impresses why not hire him as the HC? It could be their only shot at landing him.

When will Flores be offered that job, once Brady is gone and how do you know he will get the job. Why do you not hire Filippo as your head coach? Because, you already answered that question, he really should be a OC first, and hiring him removed for what he is qualified for then puts a wedge between both positions on the staff and he will not be able to satisfy either one

And JDF does have one year of experience as an OC. 2015 in Cleveland. His HC got fired after the season, per usual in Cleveland.
