This man is an example of not only what a football player should be but what a man and what a person should be. This man has more class in his little finger than all of the dopes who seem to grab all the headlines collectively. You never hear him talk trash. You never see him taunt anyone. You never hear him speak of himself, even when he's the reason the team won. And here he is, after scoring probably the biggest TD in his career, not patting his own back and not only giving credit to his teammates, he finds it in his heart to wish Chris Mortenson well in his fight with cancer. It has been both an honor and privilege to watch this man play for my team. He is who I want my children to emulate both as an athlete and a person. Mad love to you Fitz.

Gives me the chills everytime I watch this. We, as cardinals fans (and all other NFL fans) live in the generation to see this man play. Not only talent, but as a humble human. Man, we have been through a LOT of rough years in the past, so maybe this is how we got repaid- to have Larry Fitzgerald. 1st ballot hall of famer without question

I told my wife that when the time came when Larry gets in, I will be there. That is a solemn promise. As soon as he retires(hopefully a few years down the road) I'm going to make plans and look for campgrounds near the HOF. My favorite all time player was Conrad Dobler. Fitz was 1A until last night. Now my favorite all time player is Fitz. Dobler is now #2. Not 1A but #2 because Fitz is in a class all by himself.

I'm sure the state or Arizona will be right behind you when he gets elected in! Sure hope he has a lot more years in him. The guy took less money to become a inside/blocking WR! And did he complain, nope! He is one of the nest blockers on the freaking team!! That blindside block call against him was BS. You don't call penalties on #11. It's that simple. ;)

The first thing we heard when we finally got into our SUV for the drive from the stadium was the replay of Paul Calvisi catching up with Fitz after the final score. He asked Larry about his play in the second half and OT. Fitz just said positive stuff about the team, coaches, and fans. Said he felt blessed to be a part of this organization.

Saw the above full interview many times on ESPN last night also. Larry basically said the same things. The only time he ever talked about himself he simply said "I just wanted to make a play." Such an amazing player. Never talking trash or showing up the other team. Always including his teammates, coaches, fans, etc.

Larry Fitzgerald exemplifies the best in football and in people. He is one hell of a role model for all.

Right on NJ. The emotion in his voice when interviewed was so real. He knew what he just did, but everybody else was getting the credit, and that's because he believes it. I am right with you, watching this man play is a privilege. I have often thought that by following the Cardinals so closely for 40 years, I have missed out on some great players, but just the opposite is true here. What a class act, and hall of famer. Every contract he has signed seemed like too much, and every one was probably a bargain.

Hearing Fitz do that live on TV brought a tear to my eye!

NOBODY else in the NFL would've made those comments towards Mort at the end of 1 of the biggest moments of his football career IMO! Nobody:D

Larry was already a legend but now he is moving into the realm of myth.

Thank Josh McCown and Nate Poole as well because without winning that last game, we're #1 in the draft and I'm not sure Denny passes on Eli Manning.
Denny Green is on record saying that he would have still taken Larry with the #1 overall pick. There was a personal connection from the Minnesota days.

My mom (who has already booked airline tickets for my whole family to Santa Clara on her points as well as hotel) today said to me "if there are sports gods, they will let Larry and Carson win a super bowl against the patriots. Because they deserve it more than anyone else."

We are witnessing once in a lifetime players both on and off the field here. I can feel it in my bones.

When Eric and I went to Detroit to watch the cards, at half time, they had a peewee football league playing out on the field. There was the one kid that had to be the smallest of all the players. He was still a hussler. The little kid was standing on the side line and the card players started coming out. The first thing Fitz did was ran across the field and came to where that boy was standing. He then got on the ground right next to him and grabbed the boy's feet and was pretending to tackle him. You could tell the kid was star struck. Several camera men started taking pics of it. I didn't have a chance to get my phone out to take one and missed the shot. It was the coolest thing I have seen any player do. It's what Fitz does.

I was hoping I could come across any pics those camera guys took but haven't found it yet. Fitz is what every young boy or girl should consider a "role model" and not these other scrubs that play the game.
