I'll have a wait and see attitude and watch for Oklahoma and LSU play out the string.

My top five this week

1. LSU
2. Oklahoma
3. Florida
4. USC
5. West Virginia

I think USC will be upset at some point. They could easily lose two games even.

Eh, I hesitate to do a Top 5 right now. To me, there are clearly 4 teams that, RIGHT NOW, are in a class all their own. I'll rank them 1-4:

1-LSU
2-Oklahoma
3-USC
4-Florida

I can't put West Virginia up there, because they aren't yet in the same class. They're in the same class with teams like Penn State, Ohio State, and Rutgers. Of course, that's at the moment. West Virginia may rise into the next class, or one of those others might too.

Good point with W. Virginia. There are probably about 6 teams who deserve that 5 spot. I can't seperate them. 3 games into the season is a crapshoot. About 5 games in and I think form will take over.

A sleeper team for National recognition just might be Boston College.

Similar situation to the Big 10 as well; it'll be an easier road for them in the ACC. Unfortunately, my Army team won't put up much of a fight this week :(

I dont agree with that. I think WVU is clearly better than PSU, OSU, and Rutgers. I am probably bias :) but the way their defense has been playing and all the weapons they have on offense, I think they are a better team then people are giving them credit for. (Being jumped by Oklahoma was ridiculous considering neither team had played anyone yet)

To me, LSU and USC are elite teams, and the second tier is Florida, WVU, and Oklahoma. PSU, OSU, WIsconsin, Rutgers, Cal, Texas, imo, fall into the Tier 2B category

I'm glad that USC's defense is the strength, and that their offense isn't completely overwhelming. It'll make it a much more fun game when PSU plays them for the title.

You may scoff, but we're going to make a run at going undefeated.

So much for that.
