This loss falls squarely on the Coaches' shoulders.

Maybe he should take them to the movies or something :p

1)How about an all day run up & down Camelback Mountain tommorrow. :D
or

2) full pads for the rest of the year
or

3) take away every players PS3, Wii or XBox
or

4) after each loss all players clean up the trash in each stadium
or

5) all players have sleep in the desert after each loss

One INT was a screen to beanie after throwing about 200 screens or flat passes in a row. Id put that on the coaches.

Or how about, ugh I dunno, call some quick slants to the WR's. OR ANY PLAY that doesnt require 20 seconds in the pocket.....

The play calling is atrocious.

Let's see the actual play calls before that play were

1-10-ARI 41 (11:27) 26-C.Wells left tackle to ARZ 43 for 2 yards (75-H.Thomas). PENALTY on ARZ-63-L.Sendlein, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at ARZ 41 - No Play.

1-20-ARI 31 (11:04) 26-C.Wells left tackle to ARZ 38 for 7 yards (52-J.Beason).

2-13-ARI 38 (10:21) (Shotgun) 13-K.Warner pass short left to 11-L.Fitzgerald to ARZ 47 for 9 yards (27-C.Wilson). FUMBLES (27-C.Wilson), RECOVERED by CAR-52-J.Beason at ARZ 35. 52-J.Beason to ARZ 35 for no gain (36-L.Stephens-Howling). Arizona challenged the pass completion ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) 13-K.Warner pass incomplete short left to 11-L.Fitzgerald (27-C.Wilson).

3-13-ARI 38 (10:17) (Shotgun) 13-K.Warner pass short left to 15-S.Breaston to ARZ 41 for 3 yards (41-C.Munnerlyn).

We punted, they got the big TD to Steve smith. We get the ball back and the very first play was the picksix.

So you're saying the 9 yard pass to Fitz and the 3 yard pass to Breaston on a prior possession made it obvious we were going to run a pass play to Beanie on first down?

Now the prior drive had 3 short pass plays in a row for a punt after a 17 yard pass to Patrick.

But obviously that wasn't the problem since we managed to run 4 plays(one called back by penalty) without telegraphing a pass leading to a pick.

That play was on Warner, the guy was wide open, he didn't make a good throw and Peppers made a great play.

Russ, the play wasn't executed, Gandy missed his block. Wiz even said that after the game Gandy failed to execute his cut block.

Warner must be the most hated man in Arizona.I can't believe the hatred.

No One saw our #1 run defense today from the kickoff on? Did anyone see DRC get lit up? I guess that was Warners fault too.

If the ball hits you in the chest and hands and you let it pop out for an interception I blame that on Warner too. Right Jerheme Urban?

I admit that Warner had his worst day this year but this game could'nt have been won by Joe Montana with the beat up wr's we are putting on the field.Lets see what speed Doucet has.We won without Boldin last year a few times.Lets see if we can do it again.Even Morey offered more speed and caught a pass due to it.

I can't believe no one else can see this.Glad Mitch did.

Sure but does that mean the throw can't be completed, that it's going to be picked? I'm sure Gandy was supposed to cut Peppers but that doesn't mean the throw wasn't bad.

What kills me with all the it's bad play calling stuff is on pass plays it's damn near impossible for us to even know what play was called. We have no idea who is the primary target on a given play, where the ball ends up and where it's supposed to are often not the same, the primary is covered so Kurt checks down.

On the play to Beanie I believe he was the primary target, but Gandy misses his block, Kurt doesn't get the throw up high enough(happened repeatedly in the game) and instead of a 10-15 yard completion, it's a picksix. That's not a bad playcall, it's bad execution.

The idea that Peppers read that play because some of the previous plays were short passes to WR's is completely speculation, maybe they noticed in film certain formation we liked to do that, who knows, but to say it was because we'd thrown short on previous plays is a complete guess.

ON run plays you generally can tell where the play was supposed to go, we can all recognize those silly slow motion draws for example and I hate those, but on pass plays we don't even know if the play was a pass. It might have been a run Kurt changed to a pass.

What?
The Panthers saw something in our D and exploited it. The Cards never adjusted. Game over.

250 yards rushing!!!! :bang:

I think most of us agree it was a team loss. That said, we scored 21 points with SIX turnovers. To say we needed Montana to win this game is just plain wrong. If we'd had just 3 turnovers we might have still won.

I don't think they saw anything. It was all about effort IMO. Most of their really good runs were cutbacks to the other side which happen when guys don't shed blocks to change direction or blow their gap discipline. We were guilty of both. Carolina was running nothing special.
