OK, have to admit - when I heard he gave up a 2-run homer right off, I grinned. Guess that resolves my ambivalence.

I don't like the Yankees and I want their players to do poorly. Randy chose to play for the Yankees.

I love RJ and all he did for us here, but made his decision. I hope his team does very, very badly.

totally agree - I love that Randy helped Curt bring us a title but is a complete and utter turncoat for forcing our hand accepting a trade only to the Yanks. Loved ya Randy - now be prepared to burn in hell(aka NY) especially when Curt beats your ass in the playoffs.

As opposed to Curt who would only accept a trade to the Sox, Phils, or Yanks because he's a attention-***** who missed the East Coast limelight? Both these morons are guilty of their share of arrogant BS when it came to how they left the Valley.

And there's no way Boston repeats as pennant champs. New York's way better on paper and Minnesota and Anaheim have also improved.

Thanks RJ for helping get us a World Championship. Now that your with the (everyone hates them) Damn Yankees would you please have alot of aches and pains (you know, the ones that come with old age) that will prevent you from winning any games for those worthless Yankees.

The bottom line is, despite Curt being a hometown boy and Randy being an adopted hometown boy, both came to the Arizona as opportunists and left the same way. It's the norm. Still, I miss seeing Finley under a Diamondbacks lid way more than either of those guys.

Curt went to a team I enjoyed rooting for. Randy went to my least favorite team. So I rooted for Curt's team, and against Randy's.

It has nothing to do with how they left. I wish we would've kept both of them. We would've been better last year, and I'd like our chances more this year.

But there's no way I can root for Randy and the Yankees.

Curt didn't demand a trade out of Arizona. They were desperate to get rid of his salary so that they could trade for Richie Sexson.

Curt said he would only go to Philly initially or Yankees, but accepted Red Sox. But then D-Backs gave him the no trade clause and they wanted to trade him. At that point I'm sure he wanted out as well (wisely), but all the pushing came from them.

I'll be rooting for the Minnesota Twins next season.

Obviously, the DBacks are my first choice to win however.
