Ah yes. "Wait until after the June 1st cuts". "Judge us by the team we put on the field in September".
That Arians thinks that Grimm was a good coach just reinforces my belief that all the Cardinals did was replace one group of Pittsburgh guys with the same group of Pittsburgh guys just older.
The one positive is that the Cards appear to be placing a lot of emphasis on the offensive line coaching.
I agree with K9 on the speculation that CKW lost his job because of his loyalty to Russ Grimm. Same thing was reported to have happened to Denny Green in Minnesota. Getting fired because he wouldn't make changes to his coaching staff.
This is the same line of thought that designates the Redskins the free-agency champions every year (or PHI in 2011). If you're drawing meaningful conclusion about the future of this team under Arians based on unconfirmed allegations (i.e. hearsay) about someone he MAY have wanted to hire (or for all we know, not at all), then it sounds like you have a problem with misplaced anxiety.
Either that, or you didn't realize that this is an unconfirmed report from a member of the media.
I laugh when I see this kind of obsessive behavior every year in the offseason, people freaking out over "reports" and speculation. How many people doubted Flacco could get to a Super Bowl before this season? How many people thought the 2008 Cardinals QB situation would create problems coming out of TC? The point is, this is the kind of thing that will be lost to history when (and if) Arians is a success. It's really not that crazy to judge a coach based on what his teams do on the field, instead of tearing your hair out on the internet about a minor rumor 10 days after a new coach is hired, you know. Of course then, ASFN wouldn't exist without such obsessive speculation.
