i don't watch much hockey, partly because they aren't on ESPN anymore and the coyotes haven't been too good, but for those who really follow the team, how do you think they will be this year?

i'm a sharks fan in specific and a hockey fan in general and I definitely see the yotes in the playoffs

solid goaltending, some good players on the blue line and some real good young talent that is developing

should be fun to watch

nice, sounds good to me. because last year the penguins are the only team i could watch. I don't fully understand hockey, so i just like to be entertained, because it is a fun sport to watch when it isn't sloppy.

I try to get into hockey every year, maybe this year will be the year. I think growing up in a desert pre NHL will forever doom me to not being able to get into it, but I really think Im going to try this year. If the Coyotes are in the playoff hunt, I think itll certainly help my goals of getting into hockey.

the #1 way is to get to games - pittsburgh is coming into town and that will be a fun one

detroit is always a good game

then there are players that are just fun to watch - i remember watching calgary down here a couple years ago and Iginla was just killing people, went full gordie howe on them - i believe he had 2 goals and an assist and spent the whole game just physically manhandling people ..... toward the end of the game some guy came up and gave him a shot and iginla just worked him

coyotes games are reasonable and they run great promos - grab a cheap ticket, hit happy hour at the yard house before the game and you have a pretty nice night right there

The Western Conference is so competitive, but I expect them to make the playoffs this year. For the Coyotes to get in, someone has to fall out. I think Nashville will be that team. Last year, the Coyotes hit a wall with about a dozen games left, likely because the young nucleus of players had not been through the rigors of a full NHL season. Several rookies could make the team this season, however, so it wouldn't be a surprise if this happens again, but the team is certainly headed in the right direction. Chicago is banging on the playoff door with Campbell and Huet joining the mix. Columbus, who has never made the playoffs, thinks their team is ready to jump to the next step. Edmonton has a permanent spot on the #8 seed bubble. Los Angeles is about a year behind Phoenix. This season will be a dogfight all the way through April.

And parking is still FREE at Jobing.com Arena. :D

IF they can stay aggressive on the forecheck and develop a stronger powerplay this team has to make the playoffs....The potential for an exciting young team is all here....
The Damn Redwings are going to win the whole bloody thing sadly...:(
