DC Bill Davis: Find a great defensive philosophy that completely stifles an offense? Eh, let's scrap that, call a soft defense, pull the CBs back, nix the blitzing, and play the bend-but-don't-break defense.

Defense: So, when we bring it full-bore and play good fundamental defense, we shut down the offense? Eh, forget that! Let's not play with gap discipline. Wrapping up the ball carrier? Nah, let's go for the 'big hit'.

What does it add up to? HOT GARBAGE!

At least the offense looks good. Beanie should be in there more often, though. That Hightower run could have been a TD with Beanie.

Please don't leave Whis off the list. Yet another horrible job of playcalling. March down the freakin' field on the first drive running the ball and then completely abandon it. Whis SUCKS as a play caller.

FAIL. Up until 7 minutes left in the 2nd QTR we had more runs than passing. When you are down 2TD's or more you allmost have no choice but to start passing more,

And how many of those runs came on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th drives?

Not to mention Warner or Whis or whoever NEVER, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going downfield with the ball. This freakin' offense is so damned predictable and no defense in the league is at all concerned about a big play.

In the 17+ years I have followed this team there has always been one constant: They play to the level of the competition. That is the case today and it is biting them in the ass.

Uh maybe they were afraid Kurt would throw yet another pick if we go deep?

This is one of those Warner nightmare games so far.

I don't excuse Kurt one bit.Yet when are our Offensive tackles gonna learn to block someone. Its not like Peppers has'nt been eating Kurts lunch all game long.

They can't block someone that is tipping passes for interceptions too.

Its a team loss so far.Don't put it all on Warner. The defense looks like its chasing ghosts so far. They could'nt tackle a live barn animal right now.Its pure embarrassment.

Shame we all saw it coming too.

This is just one of those games so far.
D players started a bit flat.
Panthers are on a mission and making the most of any opportunity.
Need to put spark plugs up many of our players .... and get them going.

I'm not just blaming Kurt the defense has been horrible but we were in the game until Kurt started the INT fest.

THe reason we don't throw deep more is pretty obvious, Boldin is playing with a bad ankle and Breaston is playing with a bum knee, and Fitz is always doubled. The one guy who can get deep right now is Urban and he's usually not in the game.

Kurt's picks are largely on him not the playcalling. We've all seen him get really hot and hopefully he will again in the 2nd half but he picked a bad time to have a nightmare half with the defense playing so horribly.

No, I just don't like watching complete and utter garbage. I paid too much money to watch professionals show up like they're some kind of heroes and play like sissy queens. I have zero confidence that this team will EVER learn how to handle victory. Every time we win a good game we seem to come out, forget every single lesson we've ever learned, suddenly turn undisciplined and soft, and suck.

ALMOST 200 YARDS RUSHING GIVEN UP IN THE FIRST HALF, SHANE. Now tell me again how I'm too much of a drama queen.

Every one of these worthless slackers needs to donate their game check to charity this week. How can a team completely melt down like this every single year? That's rhetorical by the way. Coaching, o-line, Warner, dropped passes, no return game, horrible defense, etc.

it's pretty hard to blame the DC when the players have the RB's bottled up but forget to tackle them. This is all on the players. Warner looks asleep on offense.

Totally agree we're just not making plays, people always want to blame playcalls and stuff when we play like crap but in general it's the players playing like crap not all the other stuff.

We are showing why we are nationally considered a joke. We can't handle success. As physical and as solid of a game as we played against the Giants, we aren't doing it today. We are not filling gaps on run blitzes, we are not tackling on first contact, and we are flying around the field recklessly. We have yet to learn that you don't have to play great to beat a poor team. You have to hit the field, play a solid game, and the poor team will do the rest. They will make the mistakes. We, as a team, don't understand that and so we fly around the field trying to make spectacular plays and instead give them up.

We are physically gifted team that lacks an above average football IQ, and does not understand what it takes to consistently win in this league.

The second half will tell us a bunch about this team. New Orleans had a similar effort last week and found a way to come up with a win. We are physically capable of doing this as well, but we will see if we are mentally tough enough to do so.

I can absolutely blame the DC for the first drive. They chipped away at us, marched down the field and gobbled clock. Why? WE WEREN'T AGGRESSIVE. Instead of playing the style of defense that we are obviously most suited to, we reverted to bend-but-don't-break defense. Now, maybe that's Whis telling Davis to run that kind of defense in the game plan, but I don't care. The defense was being CALLED soft, and it WAS soft.

Add Warner puking--I mean, QBing, and you get 28-7 at the half.

After 40+ years of being a Cardinal fan, has anything change but the playoff run last year? I am so desperately trying to shun the phrase "same old Cardinals" but they just won't let me.

Ok, there is a half to play in this game, Cards make me eat my words!

I appreciate your willingness to give this team the 2nd half. They already showed what they can do in these types of games last year though. They will score a couple of TD's but ultimately give up 40+ and stay crushed.
