I know we all had fun talking crap to the Rams fans this week and the players had fun talking about how good they were. On the Cardinals website on Friday, I read an article talking about the players didn't consider themselves cocky, they know they are good.
That's all well and true. We are a good team, we have a chance to go far but as Bruce said after week 2. We ain't (expletive deleted). We got cocky, maybe that caused us to think we were invincible and we got our asses handed to us on a platter because of it. The Rams are a team with a good defense and Gurly is scary going forward but they are not as good as us. This will be proven by the end of the season. But the Rams are good enough to beat us, especially if we come out making mistakes.
Hopefully, this is the loss we needed to galvanize us and make us better. Last year when we lost early in the season to the Broncos, we lost to a team that was better than us. Especially when Stanton was starting. This year, our first loss was a game we should not have lost except we came out with a gun aimed squarely at our feet. Learning experience.
Don't let it get ya down. On to Detroit.
