There is an Amare video on there called Smash Sumthin....I can't wait until THAT Amare gets back, he abused people. He had a dunk on Foyle and Swift that were two of the best I've seen.

Oh, and I was at that Knicks game where Nash and Amare were running full steam and Nash went behind his back to Stat....one of the most amazing things I've seen in person.

I dunno....I like the 'new' Amare better. Much more complete as a player and not so much show-boating.

Most of the video of Amare have been the old Amare. I tend to agree that he is more of a complete player. I wish people would stop using old footage from 2 years ago.

I think there is plenty of footage from this year. What about the games where he was a blocking machine? What about the games he has dunked on people this year?

kitsch is derived from the German kitschen:

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=10&q=kitsch

Must be some old verb, never ever heard of a german verb "kitschen" makes sense though "(German dialect verb kitschen that originally meant "to scrape up mud from the street")".

Never thought it was known as an english term as well. But then again I thought "Meshugge" was an exclusively german dialect term as well until I watched "Meet the Fockers" in english. Edit: Research suggest its originated from hebrew or yiddish.
http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/List_of_English_words_of_Yiddish_origin

Funny though I could have sworn a lot of these words are of german origin like Schmuck, although in german Schmuck means Jewlery and not Jerk.
Guess there is quite a few words that are either yiddish or german origin, they have kitsch on the german origin list but it says:
"Kitsch (Yiddish derived from German): cheap, sentimental, gaudy items of popular culture"

Just going through their list of german expressions in englisch, man I'd love to hear you pronounce Zwieback, Kohlrabi, Kirschwasser, Fahrvergnügen, Zugzwang, Zwischenzug, Dummkopf, Ersatz, Auf Wiedersehen, Gesundheit, Schadensfreude, Schnauzer wow that's a long list of german words and the only ones I have heard people use were Bratwurst, Nazi, Kraut, Kindergarten, Lager, Rucksack, Dreck, Flak, Hinterland, Kaput, Zeppelin, Weltanschauung, Wunderkind, Zeitgeist, Meerschaum, Blitzkrieg, U-Boot,

this is putting it somewhat too plainly, but yiddish is largely derived from a merging of hebrew and german, thus the overlap that is serving to confuse you.

Maybe the cardinals can do this video too but theirs would be about salary cap management.

Yeah, but at least we know how to pronounce "ski." ;)

Don't feel singled out, slinslin. English borrows words from every other languages and mangles them all about equally.

Having said that, no one except chess players uses "zugzwang" or "zwischenzug." In other words, 1. e4. Give me your best shot.

You forgot "dachshund" and "hamburger" among common words. Of course there are many more.

By the way Slin, you also could have used the words tawdry or perhaps even said it was of propaganda quality.

We can talk of dynasty after we win our first championship. This is too premature. Also, we are healthy now. Let's keep our fingers crossed it stays that way. It is a looonnng season. Don't forget we lost JJ and Raja in playoff series.

At the end of the video it clearly says "2007, a new dynasty is born." It never says we are a dynasty because obviously we need a championship first to become a dynasty.
