He ran hard and I liked his vision. He seems to be the "shifty type" runner that we lost when Williams was lost. Other than that one play, where it seemed he was expecting a play-action instead of an actual handoff, I really liked what I saw. He averaged over 4 ypc.

Really? I think he is a placeholder until Chester Taylor hits the market. I don't think he has a chance to make the team. Could be wrong tho.

I initially blamed that play on him too but Porkchop was blown up big time on the play causing the fumbled exchange. Actually cost us the game.

Taylor turned in a really horrible year last year. Something like 117 carries for 200some yards. Now he is burried on their depth chart and didn't get any action in their 3rd preseason game. I'm not sold on Taylor. I was a lot higher on him until I read what about what a terrible year he has last season.

He seems a bit too shifty. He has shifty ability, but I think he might over-rely on it and use it to his own (and thus the team's) detriment. But of course with limited action that statement might not be entirely correct. He might tone it down a bit in the future, and might of just been excited that he was playing.

Didn't like the fumble. Hard to tell whose fault it was, but it seemed like he 'blinked' with the guy in the backfield right on top of him and fudged the hand off. Also could of been him not knowing the play, which could be his fault. Or it could of been bartel's, but on this one I lean towards powell's.

He didn't look too bad though. I don't think he'll make the roster. But if somehow, someway he did (like another injury), it wouldn't be a completely horrible drop-off in rb talent imo....based off the limited action I've seen.

But he need to dance when it is effective, and not when it isn't.

Have to remember he was going up against backups, though he had backups blocking for him. To me he looked pretty good, but I doubt he makes the team, but might land on the PS. Depending on Alonzo Smith's injury he should get a heavy workload against Denver.

I agree with most of this assessment -- there's a fine line between being shifty/having enough wiggle to make a guy miss or jump into an open hole and dancing around back there. He showed some definite quickness though.

Regarding making the roster, I tend to agree - but I know there's been mention of his kick off return ability. If there are plans to stay with LSH as the #2, perhaps he could stick in this role. I do think it is more likely we will pick up a vet after cuts and he slides onto the practice squad though.

Fumbled on our goal line and gave up 7 points. Looked a tad better after that but, He will not make this team.
