i'd like him to be the #1 without question...as of now. (lets see what RW is capable of at the NFL level though) and even if he struggles at first i hope he's not pulled. i hope he feels like he is the #1 guy and has his confidence up (and not worrying whether or not he's gonna get pulled out after a couple of no gain runs) and be ready to run the ball for us and get the majority of the carries. with TH gone it's pretty much his job as of now. RW and LSH still might put up a fight before week 1 though. personally i'd like to see a lot of formations involving beanie being complimented with a speed back. it really could make it tough for the opposing defense with both back there (or motioning) if kolb can read the defense well (i'm still doing research on kolb). i just took another look at beanie's college highlights, along with last years a bit...if this guy can remain healthy he can be one of the elite backs in the league someday imo. i was talking with a few friends, and they had no confidence in him...which made me post this and see what others think of him and what they would do if they were the coach.

Seemed like Beanie was only in the game when he was actually running the ball, seemed like the other teams knew it most of the times, it was rough. Timmy blocked some so the defense didn't charge everytime they saw him back there. Williams is more like Beanie than like Timmy, so hopefully teams won't know when we are running by who ever is in the back field. I'm saying Beanie is probably looking at better averages and all that, if he stays healthy and on Whiz's buddy list...
I like Williams too though, and the Hyphen.

I think Beanie and Williams have different strengths, and would like to see a lot of both of them next year and see them both develop into strong contributors (1a and 1b).

1. Runs too high---fumble prone.

2. Has a great burst.

3. Struggles with all the other nuances of the RB position.

Did Beanie run behind a fullback at Ohio?
ah i'm not sure....but imo beanie could be our FB if he doesn't win the starting job, would need to work on blocking and reading the defense though...although it might not be a good choice at first for him to be at FB, it would still add some mysticism to our backfield in the eyes of the defense.

that really got to me last year.....when he was in it seemed like he'd always get the ball...then he'd just get pulled.

If I recall, yes. Lots of power-I and offset-I formations at That Ohio State.

Correctamundo.

I know I'm a tad biased.....but if I'm a DC on another team I'm somewhat afraid of a double headed monster running attack....the double W's.....Williams and Wells will put some smack down yards on ya.

Wells is finished. The defense knows all they have to do is get a finger on his feet and down he'll go. Cards should trade him too.

I still see too much talent to give up on him. I just think he's injury prone and fumbles.

That said he has a good stiff arm, but should shut up about it as that was probably one of the reasons why everyone started going for his legs!

No, THT fumbles too much. I think Wells only had 1 fumble last year. He may run a tad high but he also compensates for that with his stiff arm.

THT has more sack than Beanie has in his left pinky. 'Nuff said.

beanie had all this time to watch film and work on areas he was weak in last year. so i'm assuming he is better now. only makes sense.

Anthony Sherman was a good player at UConn. Can't wait to see him for the Cards.
