A combination of Daunte Culpepper and Jared Lorenzen, Hackney has cult hero written all over him, and now, we're told, NFL prospect too. His QB rating has jumped from 126 last season to 168 and his TD-INT clip has gone from 9-6 to 18-4.
"He might be the most interesting QB prospect I've seen this year," says one NFL scout. "Everything looks so effortless with him, like it's 7-on-7. I think the guy is fearless and that's huge, because watching him last year, it looked like he was just careless. There's a difference. I love the way he throws the deep ball, and he's definitely got some presence to him. Sure, he holds on to the ball too long, but you love that he doesn't get nervous out there."
