In the predict the score thread below I reversed the score of last weeks nightmare game with the low scoring and posted a 20 to 16 victory of us over the Jags.....Once I finished my koolaid post,I realized what my Head was telling me.

(The first 'H') is Henderson who I think will handle Latui with ease and spell out to Grimm a replacement will be needed for the Sunday Night game and a person who can at least hold his ground at that spot. The right guard is always suppose to be a road grater on most teams. We had the size but not the heart or talent in a native player from Arizona in Latui who is such a wonderfull person.I predict Henderson will eat his lunch and maybe Sendlien's too.I pray Reggie Wells can at least hold his ground this week.

(The Second 'H') is Humidity and many will say I'm giving too much credence to such a thing.Well I would like to invite everyone that is ever gonna read this to step onto the field at 1:00 Eastern time in Jacksonville,Florida wearing all of your pads and probably wearing our dark home jerseys to add to the sun's ability to make it even hotter for our guys. The cooling pad system is only a stop gap measure to help guys survive the pre-game warm ups through the 4th quarter.

The Jags have done everyday OTA'S and all of thier TWO A DAYS in this heat just for the advantage it gives them in as many home games they can play before the weather turns in late October.Plus they have to be able to play in their own weather at thier own stadium against other teams.(duh) Why would they train anywhere else?

It takes more than a weeks time out in this weather to adjust to it.It will be very oppressive to the guys and I know Dockett,Q,Rolle all played in it right near at Tallahassee with no sea breeze at all.Same for Calais Campbell in Miami.I being from Miami personally think it is MUCH worse in northern florida where it seems to be more oppresive with the heat index.Miami always seems to have a sea breeze to help.

See if our guys look like they are walking in mud by the fouth quarter or any get cramps from not being properly hydrated with IV's before the game.Every player should have had an IV before this game. The Colts game was indoors so last week meant nothing to this game.1:00 is the worst time to play.It will be hotter down on the field then up in the stands as ususal. We'll probably get to see thermometers tomorrow during the game but the heat index won't be figured in, to what it FEELS like to the player under those pads, and in that helmet.

(The third 'H') is Health of our team. With Breaston still not able to practice Wednesday that really scares me more than I want to say.Still have'nt nor do I probably want to know how he's doing since then.I'll add Boldin to that equation as he also is listed as questionable as with Okeafor who we all worried before the season how thin we were at the aged OLB spot.Don't know how Matt Ware is yet.Plus I read we have a couple others that are not up to snuff as gametime rolls around.Of course we'll miss the opportunity to have an extra rotation guy as a pass rusher in Kenny Iwebema who has a high ankle sprain, and rotation will be a major key in this heat we'll be playing in.

Health also will apply back to the second 'H' as the team as a whole playing in oppresive WET heat that adds weight to you and drags you down very quickly in your NORMAL endurance levels.Endurance for everyone will be a key in the fourth quarter especially and I can see Garrard running the ball on us in the fouth quarter when we are dragging.Just eating up the clock with first downs.

I refuse as a true fan to put up the score we'll lose by,I've never picked against my team as I'm always a koolaid drinker but this game has lack of endurance written all over it to me ,being a NATIVE.I want my crow served cold and piled high and with the feathers on.I'll even eat it raw if we can OVERCOME the 'H's Ive presented.

EXPLODE ON THEM BEANIE.Nothing beats PURE SPEED.I don't see Jones Drew getting any running room up the middle but I do see him exploding on runs to the outside for at least first downs.Thats all they will need.I think I'm gonna be sick now.:(

Sounds pretty down to me, like we have no shot at all.. is that true? Surely we have a shot in this game still...

I think the Cards are going to win big tomorrow. They are a better team than the Jags and they're going to be focussed. I think the Jags are on the down turn and tomorrows defeat is going to send them into a downward spiral that won't stop until they end up in L.A.in a few years.

If we win tomorrow, I will be looking forward to the "We're going back to the Superbowl" threads

Tired of this weather thing. We can't play in the snow. We can't play in the humidity.
We have players on our team who are familiar with the southeast and the heat. We play well we will win. No excuses.

Hydration? You know one thing the Cards have been known for for years is how good a job they do staying hydrated. Other teams have literally commented on how the Cards drink more than them.

I don't know why I'm fixating on this point, but you do uderstand that it is objectively harder to stay hydrated in the desert than in "Wet" heat don't you? The Cards do practice outdoors.

Hey I agree with you PJ.Its just making observations about what we will face.

Before the CARDINALS had our new DOME we would normally play 2-3 games away to start the season on average right? Due to the heat.We should have fought to play those games in the heat as an advantage to our team practicing in it in pre-season.I know the fans burnt thier azzez on the metal bleachers. They did that on Saturdays too for the ASU games also.

We could never take advantage of our weather advantage. We'll this season is a week later than most NFL seasons start for one thing.Plus this is the first home game for the Jags and they really want as many home games to take advantage of the humidity that Jacksonville is so known for.

So I brought it up being a native Floridian who played 9 years of football and how you have to train yourselves in Florida to get used to it.It really will make a man out of you in those 2 a days in August. And the hard weight training sessions and running you have to do before the 2 a days start.

So I'm not making any excuses.I'm saying every team should make and take advantage of whatever advantage they can get weather wise like the cold weather teams of old like the Vikings used to play at the Met. in the snow all the time and they were coached by Bud Grant and he had his players in short sleeves and they used that to thier advantage every year. As some cold weather teams do today.I know we got our azzez handed to us last year in the snow.

So I think it IS important to be aware of or the CARDINALS owners would'nt have spent the big money for the high tech hardware the Jags already had and are making it available to the CARDINALS for the first time to help us not fade in the fouth quarter tomorrow.

Yes we are all tired of hearing about it,but it is the truth that its gonna be a factor.Major or minor,we don't know yet.Every team should be able to take advantage of thier weather.Hot or cold.

Even tho I'm sure Jerry Jones would keep the lid ON this new puppy in the heat to keep his 100K+ paying customers happy and not even think about any advantage playing a northern practicing team coming to Dallas on a very hot and humid day to play the cowpies.

If everyone on our team cramped up and had to come out to rest too often it would ruin our game tomorrow.Being hydrated is the coaches job to get his players to play in anykind of weather.Like YOU said no excuses.Just watch the players in the fourth quarter when it could REALLY matter and see if everyone is still sharp? Thats the ONLY reason I brought it up in the first place.

Today's Gator and Vol's game did'nt start till late in the afternoon in Gainsville.I wonder why? I wonder who set the schedule knows how it could be if they started at noon. The NFL mandates 1:00 games on the East coast and thats noon to me central time in Florida.Glad we got the new air conditioned pads to equal the playing field.Okay?:D

Even Urbans blog from today was titled sweating here in Florida or something to that effect.I just want our team prepared fully for the battle ahead.I want to kick some azz.

I am actually not worried about Henderson. He is a shell of his former self. Fat and lazy. Got called out by his coach for sitting out most of the offseason because of what the coach called a fake injury.

Also because of their lack of depth at DL after Heyward went to the IR last week they switched their D scheme mid stream to a 3-4, of which Henderson will play DE most of the time.
