District championship scores:
The Bucks captured their eighth district title in the past decade in dramatic fashion. Trailing 6-5 in the fourth inning, they needed a little late-game magic to seal the victory. Bozeman delivered with two runs in the bottom of the seventh, earning an automatic bid to the FHSAA state playoffs.
In a pitching masterclass, Bay High gets the victory after senior Johnathan Carona scored the game's only run in the fourth inning. Tornadoes pitcher Trace Brooks threw nine strikeouts in five innings as reliever Eliott Richter saw the victory out. Bay High improves to (15-10) as Rutherford drops to (10-13).
Marlins are headed to the postseason with a dominant victory over Wakulla and a district title in hand. A collective pitching effort of Cooper Moss (two innings, five strikeouts), Jackson Ross (two innings, four strikeouts) and Eli Blair (two innings, six strikeouts) brought home the victory.
Mosley came up just short in a heartbreaker—trailing 4-1 heading into the final inning, the Dolphins rallied for two runs to cut the deficit to one, but couldn’t bring home the tying run.
