Which I'm sure they were not happy about. I really do believe that they try to finish 5-11 or 6-10 every year.
I can't believe that people really believe this. Do you know the Cards were the only NFL team to loose money last year. If you think they are only out to make money then you are wrong about them wanting to finish 5-11 every year. The way you make money in the NFL is by putting a winning team on the field. If they were 10-6 every year the stands would be full for every game. If the stands were full they would make money. You can say that Bidwill is not the best or most successful owner in the NFL and nobdy could argue but to say he is only in it for the money is flat out wrong. You didn't see him after they beat Dallas in the payoff did you? That was not the emotion of a person that takes this as strickly a business.

This is possibly the daftest post I have ever seen (outside of the P&R board).

Even if I bought into your diseased philosophy, the Cardinals would make far more money it they consistently were in the playoffs.

However, the whole concept is just plain irrational. Maybe its true the Bill,Bidwill Snr is not a good manager actually I think is very likely to be true. However he isn't running the show now, M Bidwill is and he is very different from his father.

Do I know them well, no but unlike you I have met them both and it's clear they are very different people. M Bidwill want's to win, of that I have no doubt. He promoted Rod Graves last year (remember RG has only been the GM for a year) and brought in one of the winningest coaches they could find.
See Nidan, we do agree on some things......

Thank you for those kind words.

Even so, there is no logical way to explain how this franchise has been so consistently mediocre for so long. When the results change, my opinion will change.

FanOfTheGame1, why would you root for the cardinals if you believe this to be the case?

Also, let's say the Bidwills do want to finish 6-10 every year. How do you get the players to roll over like that?

Easy you just get guys who are smaller, slower and weaker than everyone else. Overachievers who are short on physical talent but will win you a couple of games every year on heart but over the 16 game season can't keep up. Like McKinnon and RHill. Ron Moore and Johnny Bailey, Stump Mitchell and Vai Sikahema...:D

Yes there is a logical explanation. The Bidwill's have made horrible mistakes in hiring head coaches ever since Coryell left. I think they finally have made a good choice after years of mediocre selections. But we'll have to wait and see.
