Having children will do that, sometimes. Some will never catch on; Luis Sharpe comes to mind...Maybe Irvin finally gets it
But yeah, I agree; if Irvin is being honest in the linked article and not just fronting, sounds as though he really has changed his perspective. Good for him!A couple of years ago, Michael Irvin came home one day to see his young son having posted on his computer a new screensaver – a photo of the former Dallas Cowboys receiver giving one of his famous “first-down” poses during a game.
Irvin was surprised. Where, he asked his son, did you get that picture?
“I googled you, Dad,” Irvin son replied, and Irvin’s heart hit the floor. This time, his son just found a photo. But there were so many shameful things Irvin had done that could be found through an Internet search.
Maybe I'm a sucker for thinking so but Irvin's contrition seems genuine. I hate when a U player and a cowpuke sees the light. Destroys my righteous disdain.
Good on Michael Irvin.
Why is anyone even skeptical of what he is doing? How could the act not be genuine?

Oh, I don't know. Maybe because Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Bill Belichick, Michael Vick, Pacman Jones, Luis Sharpe, Ray Lewis, Bill Romanowski and countless other athletes have repeatedly lied, faked repentances and generally strained credulity beyond all limits.
Cynicism is my defense now. It would not surprise me in the least if Michael Irvin was arrested tomorrow for doing coke in a bathroom on his guided tour through Canton.
