If you like coconut (meat or milk) that stuff is goooood.I'd rather have listeria
It's similar to salmonella, but not similar. Both make you sick and can be prevented with better preparation and cooking. Listeria is an infectious bacteria, but if the food - milk in this case likely from the cows gut - is cooked right it should kill it. Salmonella is food positioning which if the food is washed, prepped and cooked right should kill it too.Don't know much about Listeria; is it a dairy-related bacteria, or would it be possible to get it in coconut-milk-based products?
(I know why you posted it, Krepitch; just got me to wondering)

I'd still eat it. Living is a risky proposition. My ancestors didn't get food recalled and they lived long enough to procreate damnit!
