I like our red home jerseys and black throwbacks. I hate our roadies (especially the red shoulder-pad and "doily-shoulder treatment).

Lol glad to see NJ and NY fans , born and raised in NJ
Welcome, OJ. There are more of us lurking in NJ than you'd think (especially in So NJ/Greater Philly as a carry-over from the Buddy era).

Like your ID. Remember when, after OJ's debut vs. the Giants, Harry Carson described him as"the best RB I've ever seen."

OJ's departure from the Cards is a perfect example of the schizoid nature of the Cardinal franchise - i.e. "steal" a gem in the draft and then a few years later let him go, getting little or nothing back in return. (i hated watching OJ - wearing #24 on his jersey - help the Giants win a Super Bowl - good for OJ; frustrating for us).

That's right who can forget his first game, he ran thru the Cowboys like a hot knife thru butter

Why o why do we not wear our all white throw back uniforms when we play the Rams in St Louis every year. Did it once and that was it.

The Cards haven't worn throwbacks since changing to the current design in 2005.

No. They sucked IMO. Stripes everywhere. The only old uni I liked was the all red jersey. I didn't care about the pants because they were pretty simple. The old Card looked like it had a stick up it's ass.

Sorry if I offended you old-school fans because you really have been through thick and thin but I think the new unis and logo are sleek and simple. I like 'em.

I've been following the team since the late '60s, and I prefer (by a mile) the current unis.

Don't get me wrong, I like the old uniforms (especially the whites) but...the new ones are the best. I just wish the face-mask was red. Looks so out of place with the gray. I would also like a stripe down the middle of the helmet.

I've been lobbying for Red facemasks since the early '70s. Even wrote Mr. B a couple of letters about it when I was a kid.

Don't think a traditional stripe would work because of the shape of the logo...they'd have to do a tapered thing - like the Titans or Ravens (or the U. of Louisville for that matter).

Exactly, and we actually have never worn the old 80's uniforms for like 20 years and counting now. I remember when the team once went really really way back on their alternate choice with the beige pants and the red top/plain helmet and little numbers on the uniform's side...I believe we had like several white stripes on the sleeves (it was like early 20th century Chicago Cardinal look in a modern uniform)

I'm okay with the new ones but I prefer the old ones. My favorites were actually what they wore when Emmit was on the team: the pants with the double stripe. Mainly I just think simpler is better.

That tapered look is exactly what I had in mind.
