I worked in Brooklyn in the late 70s the White trucking company on 4th av in the Williamsburg section

Damn. Ive only been here since 02. Greenpoint. I dont think you'd recognize Williamsburg anymore. Not through all the high rise condos, waterfront parks, and douchy young money.

I was in Brooklyn from 2000 to 2011 (Carroll Gardens, Red Hook, Park Slope, and Windsor Terrace). As for being a Cardinals fan, I definitely had one guy ask me, "They make those?"

As long as they copied the 1984 uniforms I'd be ok with going back to the '80s.

That team scored 26.4 points per game. Lomax threw for 4,634 yards and 28TDs. OJ Anderson and Stump Mitchell combined to run for over 1600 yards and 17 TDs and Roy Green had over 1500 yards receiving and 12 TDs!

The D had 21 Interceptions and ranked 9th in pass defense and rang up 55 sacks.

And the Cards beat the Patriots 33-10, the Bills 37-7, the Eagles 34-14, the Bears 38-21 and the Giants 31-21 and had over 400 yards of offense 9 times.

Good gravy! The NFC East was stacked that year. Didn't everyone in the East end up .500 or better that year?

I'm pretty sure the Eagles were sub 500. I recall how pissed the Eagles D was when Lomax said he could have ate a hot dog in the pocket, as his line protected him so well. The rematch was way closer but the Cards won on a last second field goal by Neil O'Donaghue. Ron Jaworski broke his leg in that game snapping a very long consecutive start streak.
The team had a punter with a great name, too: Carl Birdsong.

That sounds about right. People could not believe I was a Cards fan

God I miss Brooklyn.

I know that some of us exist, but I have NEVER seen another cardinal fan here in the boroughs. People must think I'm lost rollin around in the bird gang beanie..

It must be pretty rare...whenever my Brooklyn-born-and-raised buddy Paul Lukas (of ESPN page 2, Uni Watch) comes across an item regarding the Cardinals, he says he immediately thinks of me.

I think I'm the only Cardinals fan he knows...

I just got a white Roy Green jersey ColorWerx, 1984 style with the Silver anniversary patch. I put it next to my other jerseys, and though the new style is nice, it still stands out and wins it for me. Very nice jersey :)

I've seen a guy knocking around Park Slope with a Cards jacket on. I was wearing Cards gear. I've seen others in the city as well. Is it common? No, kinda like a great white buffalo sighting

I was tempted to go to one of the Uniwatch meet ups at the Sheep Station but didn't make it. Then it would've been 2 lol

Can we get the throwback uni's, but keep the updated Cardinal logo? That was one area that sorely needed an upgrade.

Speaking of logos...

Ross: We will have a new logo, you'll have it by the draft.

I was at the very first one in Brooklyn - back in '06.

Paul even put me on the question-and-answer panel, which was both humbling and ridiculous.

Hahahahahahaa. What was the most strange or esoteric question you were asked?

The uniforms from the 80s and 90s represent futility. Bury them forever. If you need to look at them google pictures of Neil Lomax.
