Something I will never forgive Graves/Wisenmut for.

I caught some of the Jville vs KC game on Sunday and once again I cried a little. I watched Justin Houston again destroy and opposing QB, this time taking Gabbert out, and think to myself “WHAT IF”.

What if we had a coach and GM that would have taken a risk on talent and decided they can help with character issues and teach a young man .What would our team look like instead of taking project players.

For those who don’t know it was round 3 of the 2011 draft and it was our pick. There stood Justin Houston OLB from Georgia one of the most physical LB’s in the draft, first round grade considered in the same class as Von Miller, Aldon Smith and Ryan Kerrigan also played on a pro style 3-4 D, but he had a drug suspension in college. The Cardinals are in desperate need of a pass rush OLB, but instead of taking the BPA and a huge need we drafted Rob Housler TE from who gives a …. College(NOT THE FREAKING SEC).

Houston has been to a pro bowl, has 16 sacks his first 2 seasons, oh yeah had 3 more Sunday and it a nightmare for opposing OL and OC’s. Housler has done…chirp chirp chirp.

I applaud Arians and Kiem for taking a chance on Mathieu(similar situation to Houston), He will be very good, it’s a shame our LB corp isn’t better. One player doesn’t make a Defense, but they sure can freaking help.

All drafts will have hits and misses but the Ryan Williams/Rob Housler 2nd/3rd round picks in 2011 are pretty big misses.

It could be worse, we could have taken Gabbert. To think the Jags actually traded up for him too.

Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda-------all are done and gone. But I understand your point. The fact is that we really do have a very good inside line backing corps. It is the edge rusher on the outside where we falter. We lack a DE with real pass rushing ability, and save for an aged Abraham, have no OLB with any real pass rushing skills.

By the way, welcome back to the board.

Well welcome back none the less.

Cardinals have made some bad picks over the years, hence the current situation we are in.

I wonder how many teams have as many starters from their 2004 draft class as they do from 2005,06,07,08 and '09 combined? ( 3 starters out of 34 draft picks. Now that's how you build through the draft.)

Dang Denny Green was a genius. Or was that Rod Graves or was it Steve Keim or maybe even Nicole Bidwill?
