Per CBS Sportsline;

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the Vikings won't trade Onterrio Smith this offseason. "We don't have any of our players, including our plethora of running backs, on the trading block," coach Mike Tice said.

Expected......what's he supposed to say "well, we are hoping to unload player X"

Didn't the Vikings also say that they weren't for sale?

When's the last time under the cap that teams could afford a plethora at any position?

No team is more than Cincy at 24 mil I think. Also, a plethora at one position when you defense is that bad, is just wasting resources.

This from askthecommish.com :

Minnesota Vikings

$30 M
The Vikings have the cap room to make HUGE strides this off-season. The only problem is that their current owner is a cheapskate. In fact, he's looking to sell the team to the highest bidder any day now. The lofty cap space also means that the team could easily absorb the nearly $10 M cap hit they would take in the event that they decide to trade Randy Moss. "

The Bengals are 2.6 mil over.

Wow.... so money isn't a problem. I just see the holes on defense and 3 RBs who could start on a lot of teams and wonder what good it does them to sit on those players.
