You keep saying this as if the Suns did something wrong here, they didn't. Or, if they did, it was in not extending him (and I say that in general, not based on his last two games). His shortcomings on the court were all on him and we did play him down low too but he picked up fouls too quickly to leave him there for more than short stretches. The guy weighed maybe 13 pounds when he entered the league and would have been pushed around at halftime in one of those junior games.

To draft a playing at 18 and not resigned him is crazy. About par for the Suns to be cheap. I think they didn't even want to play Bender this year to try and resign him on the cheap. Maybe he stays because of Igor which could be another conspiracy theory.

I've thought Bender could play center going way back. I wanted him to be a high post center because he is a good passer and shoots better up top. The Suns had him shooting corner 3 point shots as a power forward. This was not the right strategy. Maybe Bender is not strong enough to battle down low but this will come in time much like Ayton.
