I’m not using any stats. That’s my assumption. Could be wrong. But I recalled seeing a lot of double digit shooting nights with poor percentages and few double digit assist nights.
That's a good point. Stats don't tell the story of
how and
when a Point Guard helps, or hurts, his teammates or which ones he helps or hurts.
The same way that Shawn Marion led the team in rebounds as a Small Forward but, as an opportunity rebounder and with the game on the line, wasn't a rebounding force when it mattered most.
Same as Mark West, with the size of a Center, didn't help the team when he fouled out when he would have been most needed. Actually, that could be quantified.
