Not an option to trade back unfortunately. No takers. The Cowboys guy traded in front of me because he thought I would take Lynch. lol

Jarran Reed or Vernon Butler. Both are great athletes for their size and would command double teams. Both of these DL would make everybody in our front 7 better. Can't say that about Apple or Alexander, who are good prospects but had elite defensive fronts supporting them. Build from inside out.

I went with:

With the 29th pick the Arizona Cardinals select: Robert Nkemdiche - DT - Ole Miss. Get busy living..... Or get busy Dying.

His impact would be (by far) the greatest if he pans out. Everyone at this point has questions..... With PP, & Ty, I think we have the right support system in place to mold this kid.

I just couldn't justify Kelly when this type of insane physical talent (at such a prime position of need) was still available.

I like the Nkimdeche pick.

He has rare talent on the interior line and the Cardinals don't need him to be great from day one. He provides some insurance if the team lets Calais Campbell go.

Austin Johnson PSU DT he would solve our interior line problems and get push on the inside on passing downs.

If he really falls that far you have to take him. He's maybe the most talented player in the draft, if only he didn't disappear at times.

Though I do kinda wish Paxton Lynch falls to us and works out :)

With the 92nd pick I took Max Tuerk, C. USC.

Martin & Allen were off the board but I actually look at Tuerk as the #3 Center in this draft. He will be 11 months from the ACL tear and should be ready for training camp. Does he start in game 1? Not sure. But I think he is in there by October for sure.

Thoughts?

I agree with not going for Kelley in rd 1, it seems he has a high floor but his ceiling isn't that high and it needs to be to take a C with the 29th pick.

We do need a C so getting Tuerk sounds good but what other talent was still on the board. I think we need a CB more than a C and of course there is always the BPA argument.
