We badly need another three point threat on this team, and Miller would look great in this offense. (stating the obvious)

Heres how we get him...

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...3238~558&teams=29~29~29~21&te=829:21-846&cash=

Mike Miller and Stromile Swift

for

Boris Diaw, Alando Tucker, Eric Piatkowski, Trade Exception from Kurt Thomas deal and Atlanta's 2008 First Round pick. (Swift obtained with TE)

-----

Nash/Banks/Strawberry
Bell/Barbosa
Miller/Hill
Marion/Swift
Stoudemire/Skinner/Marks

While i'd love to keep the ATL pick we really have no choice but to move it if we want to improve this team, because we have no other draft picks with the dumb deals we've done involving our future first rounders.

Plus Atlanta is looking good so far this season and they might get even better as the season goes along and their young players get more experience. So better to move it now before its stock drops even farther as the hawks keep winning. (Hell if it falls outside the lottery we'd end up selling it anyway)

So the question is...

Does Mike Miller make us the favorites to win it all? No but he does give us another big threat from outside that can also handle the ball and create for others. This makes us way more dangerous and gives us something we've lacked since Joe Johnson left.

If that's how the trade went down I'd be for it. Getting Miller, Swift & keeping Marion would certainly be okay with me. Will this happen....no.

And Memphis does this deal because....?

Because they get Diaw, Tucker and a Unprotected First Rounder in 08' For Miller, while getting rid of Swift a year early. (Thats pretty damn good value for someone thats not even considered a star player)

Not to mention Mark Ivaroni likes Diaw if i remember correctly.

Iavaroni liked Marion and I bet in order to get Miller it would take Marion.

Diaw is a solid 12/7/5 player without Amare. He'd probably do fairly well in Memphis.

I really dont see enough reason for memphis to consider this.

And yes Iavaroni was a Diaw homer.

Diaw and a unprotected First rounder isnt enough for a good player thats not thought of as an allstar?

Miller is a good sidekick but thats it.

Diaw probably has more star potential than Miller when it comes to overall skillset, but Miller would fit us better right now than Diaw. Same might be said about Diaw in Memphis.

And I see Mem sees that too. Then why should we have to include Tucker and pick? They already get the better end in a direct Miller-Diaw swap.

Ideally for me, however, is still Marion for Miller+Swift.

marion is playing solid ball this year so i'd like to keep him. if we could get just miller for diaw straight up, i'd be thrilled

Since Amare can't seem to play any defense I think the suns might want to hang on to Diaw.

Because of the cap that deal one for one wont work.

oh yeah, they'd have to throw in some sort of filler.

diaw doesnt play excellent defense either though he is at least decent. he's even smaller than amare, however, so i'm not sure exactly how effective he will be for us.

Yet another trade proposal where we would be taking on more salary.

Need a new owner first.

Anyone got 400 mill that I could borrow?
