Last season the Suns best rebounder per minute was Lou Amundson. They declined to re-sign him and he finally went to the Warriors. This year he has no minutes with GS and just one pre-season appearence. Maybe he's injured, but otherwise I'd think GS would be happy to unload him for a conditional 2nd round pick.

With Lopez possibly injured for a while, the Suns are down to Frye as a center. Siler may be good someday, but IMHO he's not ready for prime time. Lou is not ideal, but he's affordable ($1 million a year for four years), knows the Suns system, and he can rebound.

Another undersized powerforward? He'll fit right in with the Suns.

I wasn't aware Lou was injured.

So here's another question, is Kurt Thomas injured? He's plyed in only3 games with just 8 minutes total.

In the last two seasons, KT averaged around 0.28 rebounds per minute each year. This year it looks like the rookie, Asik has taken over KT's role at 0.26 rebounds per minute off the bench.

Unless I'm mistaken, KT is getting the Vet minimum.

He's also 112 years old. He's done.

I liked Kurt Thomas as a player when he was younger.

But did you know that NBA.com lists him as a 6'9" Forward, not a Center?

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kurt_thomas/

Expecting him to help our Center problem is grasping for straws. 'Remember the year D'Antoni kept him on the bench until the second game of the playoffs, which was a hell of a time to disrupt team chemistry. It was purely desperation.

We need more than an old, undersized stopgap in the post.
