Gee From The G
Report: Titans tell Young to leave
Associated Press
Wednesday, November 24, 2010

The Tennessee Titans said quarterback Vince Young has been told he didn't need to attend a team meeting a day after storming out of the stadium.

The Titans issued a statement Tuesday saying the meeting was to talk "about Young's situation and how the team would move forward." The team said Young has been placed on injured reserve.

What an absolute idiot. He will certainly be on the trade table come off season. The question will be is there any team out there willing to take a flyer on him. He certainly won't command a high draft choice.

Maybe the Vikings?

According to the Titans he was told not to be at the meeting because firstly he's on injured reserve (if you're on IR you don't have to attend the meetings) and that the meeting was about the "situation" that needed to be discussed by the rest of the team. The Titans haven't banned him from the facility, according to their statement to correct the reporting in the local newspaper.

sounds nicer than "get the f* outta here!"

wont that now make all three top QB's in that draft no longer with the team that drafted them?

The owner is on record as saying Young isn't going to be cut and that he and Fisher will have to work it out. I think Fisher will tell him he won't work with Young. Who will win that fight?

Id love to see him in cardinal red for a year or two as a stop gap.

No way VY and Coach Whiz could work together. Vince would storm out before training camp opened.

It’s hard to believe Fisher has been with that organization for 17 years and that a showdown with the owner over VY would be the catalyst for a change.

Young's biggest problem is he's mentally frail.

The guy has all the talent in the world. However, once you mentally rattle him, it's over. It seems like on the NFL level, he's mentally rattled far easier than he was at Texas, and I'm genuinely baffled at his mental regression as a QB.

This is now the THIRD time he's caused a major incident and walked out on his teammates. Regardless of whether the coach benches you or not, you stick by for your team. That's how you gain their trust and respect. Storming off and throwing your gear into the crowd shows that Vince is in it for Vince.

He won't be cut - traded yes. The organization has to worry about the bottom line with the big $ guys and get something in return.

VY agent and the titans will be chatting soon.

Bud Adams LOVES Vince Young. He's already gone on-record saying that Vince and Fisher need to patch things up.

third time is a charm. well with that said i think vy will not be there next season. they will try and trade him but since he is such a head case no one will trade for him. he will be released and someone desperate will pick him up and give him a 4th chance but will let him go. kind of reminds you of the head case that was with the vikings some years back, sorry don't remember his name.

Young and Fisher won't patch things up no matter what Bud says. There's speculation that Fisher will give the him or me ultamatum and will be in very high demand for some prominent coaching jobs is Bud sides with Young. The worst case, for us, would be for Fisher to end up in SF. I don't see how Bud could side with Young in this. He couldn't really be that stupid could he? You have one of the top coaches in the league, 17 years running, and a flake ,non-working QB and you pick the QB . I say no way that happens.

It would be similar to Bidwill telling Whiz your keeping Leinart no matter what. Speaking of ML, I bet he's on the short list to get a look in Tenn. this off season.

Yeah, only the Cardinals would do something like cut him and get nothing in return!

There will be a sane tough version of Young available when we draft (Cam Newton). Why consider this maniac?

I wouldn't even consider Cam...

As for Vince...he can go headbutt a brick wall all I care.

I sure would................just not sure I would where we are likely to draft.................but around 15 to 18 I would.
