Tivo problem

Got Tivo just a couple days before we left on vacation. It's randomly recording shows. Do I have something set that I'm not aware of? It's really goofy channels too. Not things I would watch. Anyone?

Have you tried rebooting (unplug and plug back in)?

I found this on TiVo support about the machine recoring the wrong show.

If that doesn't work check to see if there is a FW (firmware) upgrade. Or see if you can get phone support from TiVo.

I think sometimes Tivo sells the ability to make suggestions to their customers. I say this simply because I never watch cartoons, nor Jackie Chan type stuff and I also, suddenly started seeing the same things you did in my recorded shows.

I used to like the Tivo Suggestions, then it started recording things off the Spanish channel and on Nickelodeon so I had to shut it off. It thought I was a 9 year old mexican or something

I want to pick up a HD Tivo. They're starting to come down in price quite a bit. Last time I checked it was $999 and now they are $599 after rebate. Still way too high but I'm glad they are finally getting cheaper.

The model I saw was for directv and had 4 inputs so you can record 4 shows at once. I think it had a 250 gig hard drive or something around there.
