boy -- this name keeps getting linked to the Cardinals

latest is in SI's mock draft: http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/04/26/nfl-mock-draft-2016-round-1-smart-picks

the NFL network live draft put him with the Cardinals

Daniel Jeremiah ( also NFL network, so not sure if its different from above) linked them

Kent Somers put Green at #29 to the Cards

all with the backdrop of Arians stating three months ago that they want to add length and speed in the secondary

Green certainly has length and speed. I think its fair to question what else he has.

This feels alot like a boom or bust kinda pick at 29.

The kid has a ton of upside, but he needs a lot of work. Right now doesn't have necessary instincts or technique in coverage. To me he seems more like a nice fourth round pick. I really don't think he is good value in first two rounds.

That's a mostly accurate listed. Some of these guys will play well, but they have high bust factors.

I haven't followed this draft closely because I kinda doubt it's going to have much of an impact on the 2016 Arizona Cardinals, but I have a hard time believing that this draft is so thin that a nothingburger prospect who has played one year on the defense and wasn't impressive in that year (I posted the cutups from the Alabama and Louisville games and he was invisible when not playing terrible save for one unblocked sack on an overload).

It's so weird.

round 4 for green...ahaha
stop reading vintage mock drafts

All he is at this point is potential and that's what gets GM's fired all the time. Not saying SK would be fired over this one draft pick but it would IMO be a big mistake to take him before then. I don't watch a ton of tape but that game against Alabama told me all I needed to know.

People get frustrated by Bethels' lack of instincts, well Green has zero instincts that I can see. Don't care where "experts" are mocking him, I think he is only potential at this point.

Are u sure was his fault the missed coverage in the 2 td pass?

Not 100%, but he doesn't tackle well and as I said doesn't have instincts. Think of HB and how he knows where the play is going etc., Green IMO is the opposite of that.

If they are going take a CB, why not take the best pure CB in the draft, Kendall Fuller? His knee reportedly checked out fine during his re-check in Indy. If his knee wasn't hurt, he'd been a lock top 10 pick.
