FWIW:

Pete Carrol pretty much just committed to playing to win this week -- noting that after losing to the Rams they need to get back to playing well

also noted that with only 46 guys dressed, the only realistic players to rest are your QB and maybe a RB --

doesnt sound like Cam Chancellor or Russel Okung will be back from injury though

btw: not a fan of resting They have a bye, but play to win this game

Considering the NFL flexed the Panthers game to the same time last night, it's gonna be most likely a regular game til the end. It is what it is, but it sure is tough to beat a team 3 times in 1 year. Just sayin. Very possible we play Hawks in divisional round

This is the seattle seahags....

they have kicked our ass for years.

we need to complete the sweep,...not only for divisional bragging rights, the changing of the NFCW guard,..and all that..... but because stomping them into the ground to end the regular season will give our team an adrenaline high that will last until spring..
which will carry us through the playoffs.

Anybody banged up rest them if possible. Sorry, I wouldn't play Palmer or David Johnson in this one.

Chances of Carolina losing at home to the Bucs is slim and none.

BA said he don't really have enough players on the roster to rest. I could see him getting some of the guys that have been playing trough injuries a breather.

Play it just like it is another game. You get a week off after this game.

Yep, I'm just going to go with; I trust BA's judgement, and then I'm going to leave it at that and not worry about it anymore this week.

Yup, giving some guys a two week break could throw things off and to have Stanton out there this week, then no game next week could have negative effects on the offense.

it sure is tough to beat a team 3 times in 1 year. Just sayin.

We hear this a lot at this time of year. This article is from 2008, so the numbers are a little out of date, but states the case well:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=458
Since the merger, there have been 17 instances of a team trying to beat another team thrice in a season. In 11 of those cases, the team succeeded. Teams, like this year's Cowboys, who have the better record and were therefore playing at home, are 9-3 when trying to beat a team three times in a season.

Just keepin' it real!

I'm actually okay with us going full bore. Having two weeks off is a lot of time for a team who's never been in that position before. And on top of that, to be honest, this team is such a joy to watch, with so few games left to do that this season, I want all the Cardinals I can get.

That perception is out there, but the truth is the record for teams beating their divisional rival 3-0 in a single season is 12-7

BA - "Don't think you get anything out of resting guys" Arians says "we're playing so well right now, we don't want to change"

Starters start... But, if that Carolina game gets outta hand early, I say sit down our starters immediately.

BA is on 98.7 right now. Said they won't be resting and that they play to win. Thinks making the game seem less important causes players to let up and that's what can cause injuries. Said he would have to fight Carson to get him out and that he wants to play.

To add to what you said, BA said that the players after the game told him they wanted to get after Seattle. The main thing BA stressed is maintaining the process and the approach. They want to keep building on the momentum they have created.

A few things to watch out for in what could be a meaningless game...

Palmer is close to setting the single season franchise record for yards (like 75 to go), he already has the TD record and barring a melt down he will set the mark for Passer Rating too.

David Johnson needs 1 TD to set the AZ/Phoenix Cardinal single season TD mark (currently tied with Fitz who had 13 in 2009)

Catanzaro is 3 points away from tying the Cardinals record for points in a season.

17 more points and the Cardinals will hit 500!

John Brown is 42 yards away from 1,000

I'd begin with the starters. There are several historical examples of teams not responding well after taking a game off. But the idea advanced earlier in this thread seems prudent. Watch the scoreboard and if this game becomes meaningless, pull some key regulars.

And Floyd needs 167 yards to also reach 1,000!! ;)
