Boris Diaw is a good comparison for White, except the latter attacks the rim far, far better. A more determined rebounder, too, based on a few clips. BBall IQ, court vision, passing, defense, jump shot, athleticism are all reminiscent of Boris and also his conditioning appears to be similar - not as bad as Boris at his worst, but still not encouraging. Throw in fear of flying and there is more risk.

Bottom line, my guess is that we will all wish our FO had chosen him at #13 instead of the lame pick they did make. (I know, a very safe bet.) It all depends on his motor... think how good Boris could be if he had one.

The fear of flying is an issue, but it is overblown. He has flown and it will become less of an issue the more he does. He has excellent shot selection and mobility.

JC- I think you should look in to Draymond Green....he's basically the same type of player White is but with no off court issues and less hype.

He is two inches shorter and 25 lbs lighter.

If there's any way to beat a fear of flying, it's on a professional sports teams, flying first-class charter with your teammates around.

Coro thinks the Suns want Terrence Ross.

Coro doesn't know any better. He has Rivers going to New Orleans....as a PG. And Rivers is arguably the biggest ball hog of the draft...

Gambo knows a lot more about the Suns and their draft plans than Paul Coro IMO.

Oh and btw Ross is a reach at #13.

Gambo can occastionally be entertaining, but his "inside info" has historically had little to no accuracy. I dont doubt someone is talking to him, but he gets played by deliberate misinformation as bad as anyone out there.

I actually miss Ash. He and Gambo were a much better ying and yang, with Ash calling out when Gambo laid the BS. Burns is an awful pairing with him... I cant stand Burns in general, he never provides anything of substance and repeats everything with slightly different wording 10 times since he doesnt actually have anything to say. The guy loves to repeat himself. Repeating himself is something he does often. When I think of Burns, I think of a guy who repeats himself, a lot. There are some people who dont repeat themselves... but Burns is not one of those people.

It actually makes perfect sense. Monty Williams has a very good and close relationship with Doc. They played together (Williams was a rookie, and Doc was one of the older players for NY, I believe,) and Doc coached Williams in Orlando. Williams is very open about Doc being responsible for him being a head coach in the NBA.

I am not going to be surprised if the Hornets select Rivers.

I tend to think they do as well. That's just based on John Treolar gushing about him though.

Having Kendall Marshall in for a 2nd look when we've worked out no other top-13 prospect is a little eye-raising.

I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you're saying. Would you repeat it, please. ;)

Arnett Moultrie has all the tools one would want in a PF/C if motivated.

This is a really interesting interview with Royce White: http://www.startribune.com/sports/wolves/160135455.html

It's refreshing to see a college player speak so candidly about himself.

What an intelligent player. He sounds like he will resolve any issues than linger and that some team will get a very good basketball player who will use his intelligence only to get better both on and off the court. He has already mastered the media.

Boston gave this kid a promise at #21.

He'll blossom under Doc.

They've denied it and so has White's camp, but who knows.

Wow you went and asked them?

Come on man! I was just starting to collect all the information. I can't believe you would go and sell out me and my source like that!

Not cool!

;)
