To those of you who are fans of other teams and registered for this forum today, I would like to helpfully acknowledge the following:

- You are not actually fans of the Suns. That's fine. They're a great team but they're not for everyone. You'll find that Suns fans are among the most tolerant and respectful around, and are always receptive to objective praise and criticism of their favorite team. If you cannot act the same way towards Suns fans on their own forum, that is truly a shame.

- You did not read the Suns Forum Rules, and therefore have no idea that you have already broken them, and that there is a place for you to specifically post called the "Smack Shack." As you continue to spam up the existing threads on the board, it becomes increasingly clear that that is the case.

- You need not try to drive your post count up, or attempt to subvert Suns fans by posing as a fan yourself. Just politely own up to your status as fans of other teams, and move on. There is no need to try to be some sort of master forum psychologist and try to "get in our heads" with your ridiculous arguments and rhetoric. There are Lakers fans and Spurs fans here already who have been posting for years, and who enjoy our company without feeling the insane need to pretend to be fans of the Suns. Stop this nonsense, and I think you will be a lot happier in the long-run. :)

Bee Beard,Just because joining this website in a day we lost makes those members non-Suns fans?I have read forum rules and there wasn't such a rule. And what's bad with criticizing,if anyone here insults any player, coach,Suns fans,I will react first, but criticizing the decisions, trades and discussing is no harm. And I can't believe why we don't show the bit of the loyalty to Shawn Marion who played only for us before the trade.

As for the record,I hate Lakers since my childhood.

I can't see calling the Suns a great team when they've never won a Championship. A very good team, yeah. But not great.

As for your "tolerance", you wanted to ban me after one post. One post! And what was so offensive about my post? I said "Manu is a Jedi." OMG, that is so disrespectful and such horrible trash-talking! Tolerance, my arse.

And to respond to comments I made, you quickly turned to insulting my hometown of San Antonio, calling it a "backwater" and casting aspersions at the Riverwalk. So mature. So tolerant.

It's clear that the reason you talk out of your arse is because you're afraid of the bees getting in your mouth.

The Heat won a championship but nobody should be calling them great.

It's more of the "they haven't won a championship so they can't be called great" argument. I just don't buy it.

so, winning a lot of regular season games makes a team great, but winning Championships isn't a factor?

i guess Suns fans have to set the "great" bar pretty low....

I never said that a title means nothing, but your argument implies the title means everything. So, with that, the Heat must be great, right?

Never said that winning one title makes a team great. The Heat were not a great team. But there's no way in hell a team is great with no Championships.

A Championship is a "necessary" but not "sufficient" condition. Unless, of course, you're talking about the Suns. The bar is clearly lower for them.

Saying the Suns are not "great" is trash-talking? If I said the Suns were lame, or that they were garbage, or that they were pansies, now that would be trash-talking.

Come on, dude, quit trying to act like Suns fans are tolerant.

Why does every team bother with an 82 game regular season and weeks of long road trips? Is there another goal besides the container of Larry-O's?

Championship teams are of various calibers. We know this. But basketball is a bit different. See football of late? The Steelers and Giants come to mind. Not necessarily the best throughout, but the best at the right time. Get lucky at the right moment, and you too can be called the best without actually being the best......

This is the reason I prefer basketball. You can't ******** your way through a 7 game series. If you win one, you've probably got a vital ingredient that the other guy doesn't...... (Exhibit A - D Wade).

My point? For the 05-06 season, the Heat had an ingredient that everyone else was missing. He showed up game after game after game and made his team better for it. Not just for a handful of games, many. So for that reason the Heat must be considered a great team, if only for that season.

Just because they suck now doesn't allow one to discount their sucess at that time. At that time, no one beat them. It's really that simple.

How IRONIC is this post, coming from someone who ALSO joined this month. This post is baiting and is borderline trollish in itself.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Dude makes 300+ posts in 2 weeks and now he thinks he owns the place. Get over yourself BeeBeard, you have no place telling others how to post.

I love it. A Lakers fan, putting a "new" Suns fan in his place.

Was about to post something similar, but I'll just cosign this comment. Sorry if I overstepped my bounds by directing to our rules the new posters who registered last Sunday specifically to crap all over these boards after the Detroit loss (and in fact did so). Chris got most of them anyway, making this thread pretty moot. It's not supposed to be stickied, or moderation by proxy, and it was for the eyes of probably 4 trolls.

But kudos to you anyway for being Johnny-on-the-spot, and sniping with this "Who are you?" crap 3 days after the fact.

Now, now boys... play nice.

See, this is one of the things people criticize about the Suns board. For some reason, people get territorial here. I don't see that happening on the Cardinals board :billthecat:
