Was about to post something similar, but I'll just cosign this comment. Sorry if I overstepped my bounds by directing to our rules the new posters who registered last Sunday specifically to crap all over these boards after the Detroit loss (and in fact did so). Chris got most of them anyway, making this thread pretty moot. It's not supposed to be stickied, or moderation by proxy, and it was for the eyes of probably 4 trolls.

But kudos to you anyway for being Johnny-on-the-spot, and sniping with this "Who are you?" crap 3 days after the fact.

I don't ever claim to be "johnny on the spot." Life is too busy, too many threads, and so many other things to do. I am often late to debates because of when I post. Hell, I am getting to posts that people have asked me questions a week ago. I'm ok with that.... or at least I was...... I may need some counseling now.

See, this is one of the things people criticize about the Suns board. For some reason, people get territorial here. I don't see that happening on the Cardinals board

It's not piling it on when you are the first one to comment the way that I did about the issue. I brought up the issue, days later maybe, but definitely not piling on. I started the pile.

Holy crap do I suck at posting. Dreamcastrocks, I wasn't even addressing you! I was addressing the Lakers fan and agreeing with you. He's the guy who's late to the party, the Johnny-on-the-spot, etc.

I thought I made it clear by saying "cosigning!" I'm sorry if you got the wrong idea there. I need to work on cleaning up my posts or just making sure I'm crystal clear with who I'm addressing. I've managed to confuse and frustrate others, like 5 times now. Sorry about that. My bad!

You're still an ass for trying to tell everyone what to do regardless of what team I like. Just because you put up 30 posts a day doesn't make you better then me. Just because you like the Suns doesn't make you better then me. I don't read every thread in this section, I certainly don't read all of 30+ posts per day made by you. I don't know what sucking up I'm doing, since the only mod I know of is Chris. If dreamcast is one too, then hey, that's news to me.

And as far as your thinking you don't have the same rights or something, consider this: If I were in charge, I would round Lakers fans up into detention camps. Oh don't get me wrong, they would be well cared for, well fed, and their every need would be accommodated. One catch: They would have to spend 8 hours a day seated, strapped to a chair, with their eyes glued open all Clockwork Orange-style, watching nothing but Steve Nash and Shaq-as-a-Sun highlight footage.

I guess what I'm saying is you've already got a surprisingly long leash as it is, as somebody who isn't even a Suns fan but is posting on a Suns message board. But you still complain about it? Seems kind of weird to me.

Thanks for setting me straight there, though, Lakers fan. I didn't realize how much eXtreme power I must have by "telling everyone what to do" and what-not, with my one post asking trolls not to be such jerks for one day. This news has come as quite a shock to me. I must use this power only for good, not evil.

Yes, I'm a Lakers fan. But even though this forum is dedicated to the Phoenix Suns, it's also where the community of ASFN of which I'm a part mostly through my fan hood for the Cardinals and Coyotes, discusses matters related to the NBA in general. The moderation here allows "outside" voices as far as fans of other teams, but those fans are still required to follow the rules of this forum as it should be. Should I make a series of trollish posts doing nothing but bagging on the Suns, yes, I would be banned and deservedly so. The rules don't say I have to agree with anyone here, just that I preset my argument in a rational and at least somewhat polite manner, something I feel I usually do.

The fact that I follow the Lakers has nothing to do with the issue at hand. The issue at hand is one of forum ettiquitte, and I felt yours was a little strange as a new poster yourself. While I'm a Laker fan, I'm not telling people here how to post, or what they can and cannot post. A thread reminding people of the forum rules might have been one thing, I just thought your post was a little over the top for a new poster to this forum, that's all. I was commenting on that, and that only, what my "fanhood" has to do with the argument sill eludes me. This is a public forum dedicated to the Phoenix Suns but is open to all that follow the rules. I'm not breaking a rule by being a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. If you kindly review the rules, I think you'll find I'm correct here. Please understand my hostility in my reply was based out of resentment of having that non issue brought into the subject at hand. Now that I feel I have properly explained my side, there will be nothing further from me on this topic unless you require a reply from me. I have no direct issue with you, I just thought the post was odd, nothing more. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and peace out!
