I am not a fan at all of the voices of Dbacks baseball on TV opening wishing/hoping for a bench clearing brawl. I have been watching baseballabout 35 years and cannot recall ever hearing the announcers wishing for a melee. I am not saying it never happened but I certainly haven't heard it before...and this has been going on since Wednesday against STL at least.

Even when the going is tough, staying classy is about all you have and this is getting downright classless for me.

Criticizing Vin Scully while in the same sentence applauding the two jokers in the DBacks broadcast booth is a blasphemy to the game of baseball. Neither Sutton nor Grace could do a half inning of both color and play-by-play, both of which Scully has been doing every night brilliantly for the last fifty years with no help in the broadcast booth.

Is that a generation gap or a geographical gap?.

Probably a gender gap. I don't think most women could name any sports broadcasters outside their home market and likely could only name very few in their home market. Some gals in Phoenix may know Al McCoys name, but thats it.

Vin Scully almost made me a Dodgers fan when I moved to Flagstaff back in the 80's.
