Yup. It's the early game.

Here back East, early games have their good and bad points.

Good, because they're over before the supper hour (when, in the Gollin household, the missus likes to dial up a movie, dinner guests or dinner out) - which means watching the game-recording later that evening.

Bad early in the season, because this is the best time of the year for spending Sundays at the Jersey Shore (i.e. the weather's warm but not stifling and all the tourists have gone home).

Note - It has to be kind of weird in western time-zones to serve up early football games while eating breakfast.

When I lived in California I loved it because I didn't have to wait around for the games to start. Even here in Colorado where the early games start at 11:00 I get antsy.

This morning I've already vacuumed the house and cleaned the kitchen.

The one thing I loved when I moved from Missouri to AZ 35 years ago was the 10 AM start to the games. Now with sunday night football it is a full day of football. It is 8 now and with NFL network the pregame started at 7AM.

I hate the early games. With teaching Sunday School and going to the church service...I'm lucky if I see some of the 4th quarter. :bang:

God would understand if you missed a few. He's a forgiver, I hear; for he sent his only son so that man might watch football on Sunday mornings.

I'm with you Brian, (although I don't teach Sunday school) I had to tell me lady I was wrong about the game time and asked if I could stay home. She said "Do what ever you want." So I can watch the whole game, but I might be in trouble.

Brian GOD BLESS YOU man for your devotion. Here in Florida guys are burning rubber out of the Church parking lots to catch the kickoffs of early games.

As a teacher of Young Adults who truly count on my preperation to help them grow weekly and you know GOD put you there for a reason.Your righteous acts add to your heavenly clothes "thread by thread" as it says in Revelations.Keep it up man and stick with it.GOD is blessing so many through you and your sacrifices. You already knew this. Thanks again tho.

You may be changing the lives of boys or young men and GOD chose you so don't listen to anyone else.Your Priorities are dead on!!!!Lives depend on you.No greater job in the world than Sunday School Teacher as long as you are prepared.:) ROCK ON BIM:band::rockon:

I just cleaned the heck out of my house, hopefully when my lady gets back from church, it will be the first thing she sees. This might give me the brownie points I need. Fingers crossed.

Thanks, Doug. Just got home.

What did I miss? :D

Seriously though - the missed games are totally worth it when earlier this year... a 9 year-old boy is getting baptized and he can have anyone he wants stand up and read his testimony and he picks one of his Sunday School teachers - me. Good kid who ironically bonded with me because we both love football also.
